H3WL software tools – User guide Date: 05 June 2024 6 Dongle pairing Before starting, the pairing list shall be cleared in dongle and headset. Clear dongle: Hold button until LED turns purple. Clear headset: When headset is turned off, hold power button until ‘Pairing list cleared’ voice prompt. 1. Go to Pre-Pair tab 2. Connect dongle and headset to the same PC. 3. Wait for ‘Green’ connection status. 4. Press ‘Pre-Pair Headset and Dongle’ 5. Wait for message ‘Remove USB cable from headset’. 6. Remove USB cable from headset. H3WL software tools – User guide Date: 05 June 2024 7 7. Wait for dongle light to turn blue. Troubleshooting: Dongle does not turn blue • Check if headset is turned on. • Remove dongle from PC and connect to PC again. 8. When dongle LED is blue press ‘Press when Dongle LED is blue’ 9. The gain of the antennas used in the product is extracted from the Antenna data sheets provided and also the maximum total power input to the antenna is measured. Through the Friis transmission formula and the maximum gain of the antenna, we can calculate the distance, away from the product, where the limit of MPE is reached. Although the Friis Transmission formula is far field assumption, the calculated result of that is an over-prediction for near field power density. It is taken as worst case to specify the safety range. 2.2 LIMIT Approximate SAR Test Exclusion Power Thresholds at Selected Frequencies and Test Separation Distances are illustrated in the following Table.
