Users Manual

Configuring IBKS 105 and IBKS USB 3 Get the device in connectible mode. This is possible: During the first 30seconds after you powered the beacon. Or always if you have set your beacon in developer mode 1 Download one of our apps in your smartphone or tablet. Available on Android and iOS. Clic the icones to download it for your device 2 Open your app and scan for beacons. After some seconds the app will stops to scan, so make sure that you press the button again and the app is sanning while you activate your beacons. 4 Touch over the beacon you want to configure and wait. If connectable mode is available the app will connects with it authomatically. Otherwise you will look a message in your screen. 4 Once in configuration mode you can change any parameter. Read the meaning of each carachteristic in our “GATT” translator. You will see there what values you can introduce and how it’s going to aect your device and its performance. 5 Very important: Press “Save & Disconnect”. Otherwise you will lose your changes after disconnect the beacon. 6 ENJOY YOUR IBKS EXPERIENCE! X IF YOU CAN’T CONNECT WITH YOUR DEVICE GO BACK TO THE POINT 3 OF THIS TUTORIAL THIS TUTORIAL IS VALID FOR V.2014.11.12.1 FW VERSION X YOU HAVE 30 SECONDS TO CONFIGURE YOUR IBKS. IF YOU NEED MORE TIME ACTIVATE THE ‘DEVELOPER MODE’ SCREENSHOTS FROM ANDROID DEVICE. APP CAN BE SLIGHLY DIFFERENT ON IOS DEVICES APP VERSION 2.2 FCC Caution: "Changes or modifications not expressly approved by the party responsible for compliance could void the user's authority to operate the equipment." Updating IBKS 105 3 Get the device in connectible mode. This is possible: During the first 30seconds after you powered the beacon. Or always if you have set your beacon in developer mode 1 Download nRF Master Control Panel, from Nordic instruments, for Android to update your IBKS105 and USB. 2 Open your app and scan for beacons. After some seconds the app will stops to scan, so make sure that you press the button again and the app is scanning while you activate your beacons. 4 Enter in configuration mode and write “FF” in ‘Config Byte’ Characteristic. Then press ‘Disconnect’ to save your changes. 5 Now the beacon is in ‘DFU’ (device firmware udpadte) mode. That means you can update the firmware clicking the icon 5 .1 6 ENJOY YOUR IBKS EXPERIENCE! X After complete previous steps you should see how the app updates automatically your device. When the process finishes, the beacon will disconnect to save the changes THIS TUTORIAL IS VALID FOR V.2014.11.12.1 FW VERSION SCREENSHOTS FROM ANDROID DEVICE.
