3000 Series Management System e-Cronus 3000 e-Kestros 3000 User’s manual YW2540 1 Index Introduction ............................................................................................................................................................................................... 2 Lock Features ........................................................................................................................................................................................... 2 Deadbolt and Privacy feature ............................................................................................................................................................... 7 Programming Locks ................................................................................................................................................................................. 8 Low Battery Warning ................................................................................................................................................................................ 9 Reset Lock to Factory Default Settings ................................................................................................................................................. 9 Using a Pin Code ..................................................................................................................................................................................... 6 YW25402 Introduction This manual is intended for individuals who program and manage 3000 Series locks. It covers PIN code assignment, scheduling, lock configuration, and maintenance. The 3000 Series is composed Grade 1 heavy-duty offline electronic locks that uses user- and manager-assigned PIN codes to control access. Codes can be scheduled to work during specific times or holidays, and locks can be set to automatically unlock on defined schedules, offering a flexible, standalone access control solution. Lock Features Change Master Code Allows you to update the master PIN code used for high-level access and programming of the lock. Only authorized users can perform this function. Add or Change User Codes Enables you to assign new PIN codes or update existing ones for users or managers. Each code can be customized with access schedules and permissions. Deleting User Codes Removes existing user or manager PIN codes from the lock, immediately revoking access for that individual. Disabling User Codes Temporarily deactivates a user or manager PIN code without deleting it, allowing access to be restored later without reprogramming. YW25403 Passage mode schedules A lock can be programmed to automatically unlatch or latch at specified times for each day of the week. A credential is not required to perform the unlatching and latching activities. When a lock is unlatched, a key is not required to open the door. The lock may have up to three different unlatch/latch times per week. First-In Prevents scheduled auto-unlock from activating until a valid user PIN code is entered, ensuring the lock only opens when someone is physically present. Single-Use Service Codes Generates a one-time PIN code that grants access only once, ideal for temporary entry by service personnel or vendors. Pass Time (Door Unlock) Temporarily unlocks the door for a set duration after a valid code is entered, allowing extended access without keeping the door unlocked indefinitely. Internal Clock and Calendar The lock contains a clock crystal that maintains actual date and time. The time is updated every minute and the crystal automatically adjusts for changes due to daylight savings and leap year. Check Firmware Version Displays the current firmware version installed on the lock to ensure it is up to date and functioning with the latest features and security enhancements. Lock / Unlocked Status Indicator Shows whether the door is currently locked or unlocked, providing a clear visual confirmation of the lock’s status. YW25404 Holidays Allows you to set special dates when regular access schedules are overridden, enabling or restricting entry according to holiday-specific rules. User Schedule Defines specific time periods when individual user PIN codes are valid, controlling when each user can access the lock. Manager-Code A special PIN code with elevated privileges used to program the lock and manage user codes and settings. Low Battery If the lock’s batteries are low a yellow indicator light will flash when a correct credential is used before displaying the green LED and unlocking. Keystroke Sound Level Adjusts the volume of the keypad tones to provide audible feedback when keys are pressed. Remote Service Codes Generates time-limited PIN codes offsite that can be provided to service personnel or guests for temporary access without needing to be physically present at the lock. Time Zones Configures defined time periods that can be assigned to user codes or lock functions, enabling scheduled access control across different days and times. YW25405 Audit Trail Audit trail determines which credential was used, when an access occurred, who owned the credential at the time of access and what action was performed. Audit trail is stored in the lock’s nonvolatile memory. Displayed in the 3000 software in order of most recent event. Encryption Ensures secure communication between the Door Lock Programmer (DLP3) and the lock by using encrypted data transfer to protect sensitive programming information. PIN Code Length Specifies the number of digits required for user and manager PIN codes, enhancing security by allowing configurable code complexity. Authorized User A designated user with administrative privileges who can manage lock settings, user codes, schedules, and perform system-level programming. Door Lock Programmer (DLP3) A handheld device used to configure, program, and update 3000 Series locks, including transferring user codes, schedules, and firmware. YW25406 Using a PIN Code Wak…
