Users Manual

FCC INFORMATION (additional): Limited Channels fixed for use in the US: IEEE 802.11b or 802.11g or 802.11n(HT20) operation of this product in the U.S. is firmware-limited to Channel 1 through 11. OEM INTEGRATION INSTRUCTIONS: This device is intended only for OEM integrators under the following conditions: The antenna must be installed such that 20 cm is maintained between the antenna and users. The transmitter module may not be co-located with any other transmitter or antenna. The module shall be only used with the internal PCB antenna that has been originally tested and certified with this module. As long as 3 conditions above are met, further transmitter test will not be required. However, the OEM integrator is still responsible for testing their end-product for any additional compliance requirements required with this module installed (for example radiated host+module emissions, digital device emissions, PC peripheral requirements, etc.). Validity of using the module certification: In the event that these conditions cannot be met (for example certain laptop configurations or co-location with another transmitter), then the FCC authorization for this module in combination with the host equipment is no longer considered valid and the FCC ID of the module cannot be used on the final product. In these circumstances, the OEM integrator will be responsible for re-evaluating the end product (including the transmitter) and obtaining a separate FCC authorization. End product labeling: The final end product must be labeled in a visible area with the following: “Contains FCC ID: 2ACSV-HF-SH01”. Information that must be placed in the end user manual: The OEM integrator has to be aware not to provide information to the end user regarding how to install or remove this RF module in the user's manual of the end product which integrates this module. The end user manual shall include all required regulatory information/warning as show in this manual.

Band Edges Measurement a.Limit According to §15.247(c), in any 100 kHz bandwidth outside the frequency bands in which the spread spectrum intentional radiator in operating, the radio frequency power that is produced by the intentional radiator shall be at least 20dB below that in the 100kHz bandwidth within the band that contains the highest level of the desired power, In addition, radiated emissions which fall in the restricted bands, as defined in §15.205(a), must also comply with the radiated emission limits specified in15.209(a). b.TestProcedure 1. Conducted Method: 1) Set RBW=100KHz, VBW=300KHz 2) Detector=peak 3) Sweep time= auto 4) Trace mode=max hold. 2. Radiated Method: 1) The EUT is placed on a turntable, which is 1.5m above the ground plane. 2) The turntable shall be rotated for 360 degrees to determine the position of maximum emission level. 3) EUT is set 3m away from the receiving antenna, which is varied from 1m to 4m to find out the highest emission. 4) For PK measurement: RBW=1MHz, VBW=3MHz, SWT=AUTO, peak detector For Average measurement: RBW=1MHz, VBW=10Hz, SWT=AUTO, peak detector The EUT is tested in 9*6*6 Chamber. 5) Repeat the procedures until all the PEAK and AVERAGE versus POLARIZATION are measured. c.TestEquipment Same as the equipment listed in 4.2. d.TestResults Pass. e.TestPlots See the following page. Peak Power Spectral Density a. Limit 1. For direct sequence systems, the peak power spectral density conducted from the intentional radiator to the antenna shall not be greater than 8dBm in any 3kHz band during any time interval of continuous transmission. 2. The direct sequence operating of the hybrid system, with the frequency hopping operation turned off, shall comply with the power density requirements of paragraph (d) of this section. b. Test Procedure 1. Place the EUT on the table and set it in transmitting mode. Remove the antenna from the EUT and then connect a low loss RF cable from the antenna port to the spectrum analyzer. 2. Set the spectrum analyzer as RBW = 3kHz, VBW = 10kHz, Span = 1.5 times DTS BW, Sweep=500s 3. Record the max. reading. 4.
