WIRELESS ACCESS POINT USER MANUAL About This Guide This guide explains how to set up the access point Z500 for WLAN access in a general network deployment, and the various LED status indication. Product Overview Z500 is a carrier-grade dual-band 2x2 MIMO 802.11ac outdoor Wi-Fi AP, designed for deployments in outdoor locations. With an integrated high-gain dual-band panel antenna specially optimized for outdoor LOS and NLOS deployment, it is ideal for carrier application of last mile or single hop long distance wireless backhaul and stable outdoor Wi-Fi coverage. Designed and tested for salt spray, vibration, extreme thermal conditions, shock and dust, the IP67-rated Z500 is weather-tolerant and is able to deliver uncompromised performance despite extreme environments. Supporting 16 isolated SSIDs for each radio, Z500 simplifies access policy implementation, particularly useful for office environment or retailers who need to separate staff and guest use for security reason. Client access to different SSIDs are forbidden to visit each other and thus private information can be securely protected. Different QoS policy and authentication method can also be applied to each SSID, making it convenient to classify access roles. Z500 is designed for easy and convenient centralized management through the MeshProvision Server. Better still, unlike the traditional thin AP model, Z500 can continue to operate perfectly even when the MeshProvision Server shuts down for any reason. Read these safety instructions carefully before installation or usage. 2. Keep this user manual for later reference. 3. Disconnect the access point from the power source before cleaning. Use a damp cloth for cleaning. Do not use liquid or spray detergents. 4. To avoid risk of injury from electrical shock or energy hazard, installation and service of this product must be performed by qualified service personnel. 5. Install the access point on a reliable surface. Poor installation may cause it to fall onto people or equipment and make body injury and e…

The EUT supports Cyclic Delay Diversity (CDD) mode, and CDD signals are correlated. For CDD transmissions, directional gain is calculated as follows, N ANT = 2, N SS = 1. 1) If all Antennas have the same gain, G ANT , Directional gain = G ANT + Array Gain, where Array Gain is as follows.  For power spectral density (PSD) measurements on all devices, Array Gain = 10 log (N ANT / N SS ) dB = 3.01;  For power measurements on IEEE 802.11 devices, Array Gain = 0 dB for N ANT ≤ 4; 2. The EUT supports Beam Forming technology for 802.11n/ac mode, and exclude 802.11a mode. Correlated signals include, but are not limited to, signals transmitted in any of the following modes: Any transmit Beam Forming mode, whether fixed or adaptive (e.g., phased array modes, closed loop MIMO modes, Transmitter Adaptive Antenna modes, Maximum Ratio Transmission (MRT) modes, and Statistical Eigen Beam Forming (EBF) modes).  All antennas have the same gain, GANT: Directional gain = GANT + 10 log(N ANT /N SS ) dBi, where N SS = the number of independent spatial streams of data and GANT is the antenna gain in dBi. 3. The 2.4GHz antenna is belong to cross-polarized antenna (horizontal and vertical polarizations) refer to antenna specification. For a system in which the antennas have fixed orientations relative to one another that ensure that the antennas are cross-polarized regardless of any user actions, the directional gain is computed as follows.  Cross-polarized antennas with NANT = 2. In the case of a transmitter with only two outputs driving a pair of antennas that are cross-polarized (e.g., vertical and horizontal), directional gain is the gain of an individual antenna. If the two antennas have different gains, the larger gain applies. Report No.: 1509RSU00404 FCC ID: 2AD6M-Z500 Page Number: 5 of 7 2. RF Exposure Evaluation 2.1. Output Power Measurement 7.4.1. Test Limit For an outdoor and fixed point-to-point access point operating in the band 5.15-5.25 GHz, the maximum conducted output power over the frequency band of operation shall not exceed 1 W (30dBm). For fixed point-to-point transmitters that employ a directional antenna gain greater than 23 dBi, a 1 dB reduction in maximum conducted output power and maximum power spectral density is required for each 1 dB of antenna gain in excess of 23 dBi. For the band 5.725-5.85 GHz, the maximum conducted output power over the frequency band of operation shall not exceed 1 W (30dBm). Fixed point-to-point U-NII devices operating in this band may employ transmitting antennas with directional gain greater than 6 dBi without any corresponding reduction in transmitter conducted power. 7.4.2. Test Procedure Used KDB 789033 D02v01 - Section E) 3) b) Method PM-G 7.4.3. Test Setting Average power measurements were perform only when the EUT was transmitting at its maximum power control level using a broadband power meter with a pulse sensor. The power meter implemented triggering and gating capabilities which were set up such that power measurements were recorded only during the ON time of the transmitter.
