The purpose of the MS-550 Charger is to charge equipment outfitted with the proprietary Energous energy receiving circuits. The MS-550 Charger can only be used in conjunction with devices that contain the receiving circuits for charging the native batteries of the equipment. 2. If a device that does not contain the Energous receiver circuits no charging will ensue and the MS-550 Charger will not operate. 3. Equipment outfitted with inductive receiver circuits will not charge and the MS-550 Charger will not operate. 4. MS-550 will only operate once a receiver is placed in the charging area directly to the front of the charger. 5. Indoor operation only --not to be used in a wet area or outdoors. User Manual and User Information Model MS-550. 2. User Operation The MS-550 does not contain a power switch. Simply connect the mini-USB cable end to the MS-550 Charger and the USB-C cable end to the wall adapter power supply. When not charging, the MS-550 is in standby mode. Place the equipment to be charged in front of the MS-550 charger. The equipment will commence charging within a few seconds. Consult the equipment’s user manual for the time duration and procedures for charging. 3. Radio Characteristics: The MS-550 transmitter nominal frequency is: 917.5MHz The MS-550 transmitter conducted average output power is: 37.4dBm The BLE transmitter (MS-550) operating frequency: 2402 – 2480MHz The BLE transmitter (MS-550) max output power: -1.57dBm 4. Mini USB Port Insert the designated cable at the mini USB port of the Energous charger and also into the type A USB port of the electrical AC wall power supply adapter to connect the Energous Charger. 5. RF Exposure Notice The MS-550 is designed for desktop / tabletop use and should be operated to provide a separation distance of at least 20cm or more from people during use. The device complies with FCC’s RF exposure rules at a distance of 5cm from the sides and top of the device. The charger employs proximity sensing and will automatically shut off when persons are closer than 20cm to the front of the charger.
