You can control it wirelessly with a smartphone – or automatically with the Blueair Aware air monitor that also gives air quality readings. Before using Blueair Sense+, please read this user manual carefully.ContentGeneral safety information 5 Get the most out of it 7 Place it 7Start it 7Connect i wirelessly to your smartphone 8 Control it 9Care for it 10Change filter 11Blueair filter subscription program 13 Help and support 13Warranty information 13Technical specifications 14 English SENSE+_EN-EU_UM_Rev00 5 4 The plug fits into a grounded outlet – do not alter the plug in any way.Plug Sense+ directly into an appropriate electrical outlet – please refer to the voltage label on your unit. This unit can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced phys-ical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge, if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the unit in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children must not play with the appliance. Cleaning and maintenance must not be done by children without supervision Welcome to your new air purifierSense+ comes with Blueair’s patented HEPASilentPlus™ – the world’s most advanced and silent filter system. It’s a revolutionary combination of mechanical and electrostatic filtration. Air is drawn into the air purifier where large airborne particles and gaseous pollutants are captured in the first filter cassette. The air continues through an ion chamber where particles not captured mechanically are charged with negative ions, so they get attracted and caught by oppositely charged fibers in the second filter cassette. The purified air, virtually contaminant-free, is then re-circu-lated into the room. These limits are designed to provide reasonable pro-tection against harmful interference in a residential installation. This equipment generates, uses and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation. If this equip-ment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or more of the following measures:• Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna.• Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver.• Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connected.• Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help. This device complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the following two conditions: (1) this device may not cause harmful interference, and (2) this device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation. This device complies with Industry Canada licence-exempt RSS standard(s). Operation is subject to the following two conditions: (1) this device may not cause interference, and (2) this device must accept any interference, including interference that may cause undesired operation of the device. This Class B digital apparatus complies with Canadian ICES-003. Get the most out of itMaximum speed is recommended for fast initial cleaning or for heavily polluted air. After a few minutes, the speed can be reduced. Minimum speed is generally recommended for nighttime use.For best results, run Sense+ 24/7. This ensures that clean, filtered air constantly circulates throughout the room. Sense+ uses as little as 7 W, less than a low-energy light bulb.Start itPlug Sense+ into a grounded electrical outlet with the supplied power cord. To turn it on for the first time, sweep your hand over the top display. A blue LED on the front side indicates that the unit is working.Place itSense+ should be placed in a location that allows air to circulate freely in, out and around the unit. Minimum distance from another object is 10 cm. Don’t place the unit: Directly on or against soft furnishings, such as bedding or curtains.Near sources of heat, such as radiators, fireplaces or ovens.Near wet areas, such as bathrooms or laundry rooms, where it may come into contact with water.Outdoors. RF Exposure Info

INTERTEK TESTING SERVICES FCC ID: 2AEX3-SENSEPLUS RF Exposure report The Equipment Under Test (EUT) is an Air Cleaner with WiFi function operating at 2412-2462MHz for 802.11b/g/n-HT20, 11 channels with 5MHz channel spacing and 2422-2452MHz for 802.11n-HT40, 9 channels with 5MHz channel spacing. The EUT was powered by AC120V/60Hz. For more detailed features description, please refer to the user’s manual. Modulation Type: BPSK, QPSK, 16QAM, 64QAM for OFDM. CCK, DQPSK, DBPSK for DSSS. Antenna Type: Integral antenna Antenna Gain: 2.18dBi The nominal conducted output power specified: 17dBm (Tolerance: +/-5dB) The maximum conducted output power for the EUT is 21.86 dBm in the frequency 2.422GHz 802.11n-HT40 mode which is within the production variation. The minimum conducted output power for the EUT is 13.81dBm in the frequency 2.412GHz 802.11b mode which is within the production variation. According to FCC Part 2.1091, this unlicensed transmitting devices is categorically excluded from routine environmental evaluation for RF exposure prior to equipment authorization or use For Maximum Permissible Exposure (MPE) evaluation of the product, the maximum power density at 20 cm from this transmitter shall be less than the General Population / Uncontrolled MPE limit in FCC Part 1.1310. The maximum EIRP= 17+5+2.18=24.18dBm=261.8mW The source-based time averaged maximum radiated power = 261.8 x Duty Cycle = 261.8mW From above data, the exposed power density at a distance (R) of 20cm from the center of radiation of the antenna can be calculated as follow: = PG/4πR^2 = EIRP/4πR^2 = 261.8/ 4πR^2 = 0.05 mW/cm^2 INTERTEK TESTING SERVICES FCC ID: 2AEX3-SENSEPLUS The MPE limit is 1.0 mWcm-2 for general population and uncontrolled exposure in the WiFi frequency range according to FCC Part 1.1310. As the measured power density at 20cm from the transmitter is lower than the MPE limit, the compliance to the MPE limit can be ensured by indicating the minimum 20cm separation between the transmitter's radiating structure and body of the user or nearby persons. Transmitter Duty Cycle Calculation The EUT transmit continuously during the test, the duty cycle is 1. The following RF exposure statement or similar sentence is proposed to be included in the user manual: “FCC RF Radiation Exposure Statement Caution: This Transmitter must be installed to provide a separation distance of at least 20 cm from all persons.”
