For each of the following situations, do not attempt repairs yourself; return the pump to an authorized service facility for service if it is still under warranty or discard the appliance. A If the pump shows any sign of abnormal water leakage, disconnect the power supply cord and remove pump from water. B Carefully examine the appliance after installation. It should not be plugged in if there is water on parts not intended to be wet. C Do not operate the appliance if it has a damaged electrical cord or plug, or if it is malfunctioning or if it is dropped or damaged in any manner. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard. Never cut the cord. Shelter the pump from direct sunlight. 8 Ensure that the appliance is placed on a flat, even surface. Monitor the appliance regularly. Do not leave the appliance unattended for extended periods. Do not allow the pump to run dry. The pump must be immersed in water completely.
