Setting up your adapter Android operating system of Mobile phone Requirement •To use Android Auto wirelessly, your phone should be running version 11 or higher of Android operating system. Mobile phone Setup and then, MA2 setup •Before setting up MA2 adapter, connect your mobile phone to your car with a wired USB cable and Android Auto screen shall be popped up on your car screen. Then, following on vehicle manufacturer’s instruction and mobile phone instruction to complete setup such as: - USB Preference page, click “File transfer /Android Auto”. - Share your maps location of your mobile phone. •While the Android Auto connection is active on your car screen, unplug your phone from the car and immediately plug your MA2 adapter into same USB port. Pair with MA2 wireless car adapter •When MA2 adapter flashes blue, pair your phone with it (look for ‘AndroidAuto-XXXX’ under Settings > Bluetooth on your phone). Now, wait for your phone to automatically re-establish its Android Auto connection wirelessly through this MA2 adapter; this may take a while. 6 3. LED definitions Turn on MA2 adapter by sliding “switch” to “black” plate. Factory reset W ith some unexpected cases happened, you would need to erase MA2 memory to retrieve to factory settings: - During power on, press and hold the M button for more than 60s, release the button when the LED blinks green quickly. A fter factory reset, you need to do the pairing to your phone again. 7 5. H elp W ireless Android Auto is not working during setup. Before setting up Wireless Android Auto, we recommend you do the following first: a)Check for any updates available to Android Auto for your mobile device via the Google Play app store. b)Check that Wireless Android Auto is enabled in the Android Auto settings on your mobile device. H ow do I reset the MA2? To reset your MA1, please check section 4 in this user guide. W ireless Android Auto was working before, but now it's not. What do I do? First, confirm that the Android Auto app on your phone is updated to the very latest version available in the Google Play Store. 8 Next, confirm that your phone is connected to the car for hands-free calling (Bluetooth HFP), simply by placing or receiving a phone call. A properly handled Bluetooth HFP phone call will use the car's own speakers and microphone. Finally, confirm that the LED light on MA2 is solid green. If wireless Android Auto has not started after several minutes, reboot the phone, unplug/re-plug the dongle, and power cycle the car's infotainment system, preferably all at once. I f the above steps do not resolve your issue, then take the following steps to completely reset your connection. Be sure to follow every step, in sequence: a)U nplug the MA2 from your car's USB port. b)On your car screen, navigate to the Bluetooth phone list, and 'forget' or 'delete' all paired phones. c)On your phone, navigate to the system settings for Bluetooth, and 'forget' or 'delete' …
