Due to the upgrade of product, your device may be slightly different with the schematic diagrams. Pls refer to the actual device. 1.Download the app. Download KAWA AUTO APP by scanning the QR code below.(After downloading the app, you can use it to watch the real-time video recorded by the dash cam, adjust the dash cam's installation angle, and view/download the recorded videos.) 2.Add to APP. Open the KAWA AUTO APP, click on the "+" in the upper right corner, select “KAWA Dash Cam D8” , and follow the instructions in the APP to operate. *During the process of adding the dash cam to the app, the phone needs to connect to the dash cam's hotspot. 1.Please connect your phone to the dash cam's hotspot (make sure the dash cam's hotspot is turned on), not to another phone's hotspot or your home WiFi. 1.Hotspot Name: KAWA_D8_XXXX (or as indicated on the product label) Initial Password: 12345678 1.To connect the hotspot of the dash cam, the operating system of your phone should be Android5.0 or iOS8.0 and above. Q&A 1.Why are the videos missing in the album? -The video may have been overwritten by a new one. -All videos and photos recorded by the device are stored using a loop overwrite method. Once the storage limit is reached, the dash cam will automatically delete the earliest recorded videos. -To ensure important videos are not erased, please backup them to other devices such as your phone or computer in a timely manner. 3.Does viewing videos and photos in the album on the dash cam consume mobile data? -No, it won't. -The dash cam itself acts as a LAN Wi-Fi, and when connected to a phone, it uses the dash cam's network, so it won't consume mobile data. Note: The dash cam's Wi-Fi network doesn't support internet access. If you want to access the internet, please disconnect from the dash cam. 2.Why are emergency videos quickly overwritten in a loop? -If your driving style is aggressive, frequently accelerating or decelerating sharply, or driving on poorly maintained roads, and you have set a high collision sensitivity, it is easy to generate emergency videos. Once the emergency video storage limit is reached, newly generated emergency videos will overwrite previous ones. If you fit the above criteria, it is recommended to choose a low sensitivity setting. If the dash cam is turned on, the LED status will indicate the corresponding function. You can press/click the power button for following times or durations to achieve different functions. Please use a 64GB-256GB Micro SD card with data rate of Class 10 or above. 3.Please insert an appropriate Micro SD card before using the dash cam. 4.The default file partition format of the Micro SD card may be different from the format of the dash cam. When the Micro SD card is inserted for the first time, please format it in the dash cam before use. This will delete all files from the Micro SD card. Please back up the important data to another device in advance. 5.To prevent the decline of reading/writing speed after long-term use, it is recommended to format the Micro SD card in the dash cam once a month. 6.After repeated overwriting, the Micro SD card may be damaged or write at a lower speed, which will affect its ability to save video and image files. If this happens, please replace the Micro SD card immediately. The manufacturer shall not be held liable for any malfunction caused by the Micro SD card. 7.Please use a reputable and high-quality Micro SD card. For an inferior Micro SD card, there may be a difference between the actual reading/writing speed and nominal speed, and between the actual storage capacity and nominal capacity. The manufacturer shall not be held liable for any video loss or damage caused by a low-quality Micro SD card. 8.In order not to damage the recorded video or Micro SD card, please do not insert or remove the Micro SD card after the dash cam is turned on. Output Power (Peak) IEEE 802.11b:15.27dBm; IEEE 802.11g:18.88dBm; IEEE 802.11n(20):19.30dBm; IEEE 802.11n(40):19.10dBm Antenna Gain 2.8dBi Minimum Assessment Distance 20cm Evaluation Applied MPE Evaluation SAR Evaluation Evaluation Result Pass 2. PORTABLE DEVICE EVALUATION METHOD AND LIMIT Following FCC KDB 447498 D01 “General SAR test exclusion guidance” The corresponding SAR Exclusion Threshold condition, listed below: 1) The 1-g and 10-g SAR test exclusion thresholds for 100 MHz to 6 GHz at test separation distances ≤50 mm are determined by: [(max. power of channel, including tune-up tolerance, mW)/(min. test separation distance, mm)] [if(GHz)] s 3.0 for 1-g SAR and ñ 7.5 for 10-g extremity SAR, where f(GHz) is the RF channel transmit frequency in GHz. Power and distance are rounded to the nearest mW and mm before calculation. The result is rounded to one decimal place for comparison The test exclusions are applicable only when the minimum test separation distance is ≤50 mm and for transmission frequencies between 100 MHz and 6 GHz. When the minimum test separation distance is < 5 mm, a distance of 5 mm is applied to determine SAR test exclusion. 2) At 100 MHz to 6 GHz and for test separation distances > 50 mm, the SAR test exclusion threshold is determined according to the following: a) [Threshold at 50 mm in step 1) + (test separation distance - 50mm) ( f(MHz)/150)] mW, at 100MHz to 1500 MHz; b) [Threshold at 50 mm in step 1) + (test separation distance - 50 mm)-10] mW at > 1500 MHz and ≤6 GHz; 3) At frequencies below 100 MHz, the following may be considered for SAR test exclusion. a) The threshold at the corresponding test separation distance at 100 MHz in step 2) is multiplied by [1 + log(100/f(MHz))] for test separation distances > 50 mm and < 200 mm. b) The threshold determined by the equation in a) for 50 mm and 100 MHz is multiplied by 1/2 for test separation distances ñ 50 mm. c) SAR measurement procedures are not established below 100 MHz. When SAR test exclusion cannot be applied, a KDB inquiry is required to determine SAR evaluation requirements for any test results to be acceptable. 3. MOBILE DEVICE EVALUATION METHOD AND LIMIT Human exposure to RF emissions from mobile devices (47 CFR §2.1091) may be evaluated based on the MPE limits adopted by the FCC for electric and magnetic field strength and/or power density, as appropriate, since exposures are assumed to occur at distances of 20 cm or more from persons. LIMITS FOR GENERAL POPULATION / UNCONTROLLED EXPOSURE Frequency Range (MHz) E-field Strength (E) (V/m) Magnetic Field Strength (H) (A/m) Power Density (S) (mW/cm 2 ) Averaging Time |E| 2 , |H| 2 or S (Minutes) 0.3 -- 1.34 614 1.63 (100)* 30 1.34 -- 30 824/f 2.19/f (180/f 2 )* 30 30 -- 300 27.5 0.073 0.2 30 300 -- 1500 -- -- f/1500 30 1500 -- 100,000 -- -- 1.0 30 *Note: 1. f= Frequency in MHz * Plane-wave Equivalent Power Density 2. The averaging time for General Population/Uncontrolled exposure to fixed transmitters is not applicable for mobile and portable transmitters. See 47 CFR §§2.1091 and 2.1093 on source-based time-averaging requirement for mobile and portable transmitters. S=PG/4πR² Where: S=power density P=power input to antenna G=power gain of the antenna in the direction of interest relative to an isotropic radiator R=distance to the center of radiation of the antenna 4. MEASUREMENT RESULT A minimum test separation distance ≥ 20 cm is required between the antenna and radiating structures of the device and nearby persons to apply mobile device exposure limits. The distance must be at least 20 cm and fully supported by the operating and installation configurations of the transmitter and its antenna(s), according to the source-based time-averaged maximum power requirements of § 2.1091(d)(2). In cases where cable losses or other attenuations are applied to determine compliance, the most conservative operating configurations and exposure conditions must be evaluated. 2.4G WLAN: Antenna Gain=2dBi (Numeric 1.58), π=3.14 Note: 1. Only the worst case recorded. 5. CONCLUSION Since Source-base time average power is below SAR test exclusion power thresholds, the SAR evaluation is not required.
