Users Manual

Smart Analog/Digital Repeater REPT01 User Manual 1. Introduction This smart repeater is designed to extend the communication range of your two-way radios. It features 20 programmable channels and Auto-Check (AutoChk) technology, which automatically detects and forwards both Analog and Digital signals. 2. Interface & Display LCD Screen Overview: The main screen displays the current channel and operating parameters. • CH XX: Indicates the current Channel Number (1–20). • Tx: Transmit Frequency (Downlink). This is the frequency your radio receives. • Rx: Receive Frequency (Uplink). This is the frequency your radio transmits. • CC: Color Code (0–15). Active only for Digital signals. • CTC: CTCSS/CDCSS (1-121). Active only for Analog signals. • AutoChk Repeat: Indicates the device is in smart detection mode. 3.Button Functions Button Function in Standby Function in Menu MENU Enter Settings Select / Confirm item UP Next Channel Increase value DOWN Previous Channel Decrease value BACK Unlock Keypad Exit / Cancel 4. Operation Guide 4.1 Switching Channels In standby mode, press the [menu] and then press the [ + ] or [ - ] buttons to cycle through the 20 pre-set channels. The screen will update to show the frequencies for the selected channel. 4.2 Programming Parameters To customize the frequency, Color Code, or CTCSS tone for the current channel: 1.Enter Menu: Press the [ MENU ] button. The first editable item (Tx) will highlight. 2.Select Item: Press [ MENU ] repeatedly to scroll through the parameters: oTx (Transmit Frequency) oRx (Receive Frequency) oCC (Digital Color Code) oCTC (Analog Tone) 3.Adjust Value: When the desired item is highlighted, press [ + ] or [ - ] to change the value. 4.Save & Exit: Press [ BACK ] to save your changes and return to the main screen. 5. "AutoChk" Mode Explained This repeater supports mixed-mode operation. You do not need to manually switch between Analog and Digital modes. •Digital Mode: If a digital signal matches the Rx frequency and Color Code (CC), the repeater forwards it digitally. •Analog Mode: If an analog signal matches the Rx frequency and CTCSS (CTC), the repeater forwards it as an analog signal. > Note: Please ensure your portable radios are programmed with the matching Frequencies, Color Codes, or CTCSS tones. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation. This equipment generates, uses and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation. If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or more of the following measures: - Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna. - Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver. -Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connected. -Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help Changes or modifications not expressly approved by the party responsible for compliance could void the user's authority to operate the equipment. The tests show that the 4FSK data rate is in accordance with ETSI TS 102 361-1, that is 9600 bits per second in a 12.5 kHz bandwidth to satisfy the data rate requirement of 4800 bits per second per 6.25 kHz of channel bandwidth (7K60F1D emissions). Additionally, the radio uses the AMBE+2 half-rate vocoder to compress 60 ms of normal bursts are sent in alternate 30 ms TDMA slots and so comply with the equivalence of one voice channel per 6.25 kHz bandwidth (7K60F1W emission). Additionally, the radio also meets the requirement of one voice channel per 12.5 kHz of channel bandwidth for analogue speech (11k0F3E emission). Modulation Characteristics 9.1 Provisions Applicable According to FCC§2.1047 and §90.207, for Voice Modulation Communication Equipment, the frequency response of the audio modulation circuit over a range of 100 to 5000Hz shall be measured. 9.2 Measurement Procedure  Modulation Limit 1. Test layout and build equipment as shown below. 2. adjust the audio input for 60% of rated system deviation at 1kHz using this level as a reference (0dB). 3. Vary the input level from –20 to +20dB. 4. Record the frequency deviation obtained as a function of the input level. 5. Repeat step 2 with input frequency changing to 300, 1000, 1500 and 3000Hz in sequence.  Audio Frequency Response 1. Test layout and build equipment as shown below. 2. Adjust the audio input for 20% of rated system deviation at 1 kHz using this level as a reference (0 dB). 3. Vary the Audio frequency from 100 Hz to 10 kHz and record the frequency deviation. 4.
