Problem: The mobile phone cannot find the speaker through the Bluetooth searching function. Solution: Ensure that the speaker is powered on and is in the pairing status (see the Speaker status topic). Problem: There is always disconnection or noises after the speaker and a mobile phone are paired. Solution: Ensure that the speaker is sufficiently charged. Ensure that the distance between the mobile phone and the speaker is within 10 meters (32.8 feet) and there are no wireless-radio devices between them. Problem: The speaker is paired with a mobile phone through Bluetooth connection, but I cannot listen to the music. Solution: Ensure that both phone audio and media audio are switched to the paired speaker in the Bluetooth setting or the player setting on the mobile phone. Some mobile phones do not have a complete stereo Bluetooth module, hence no function of music play through a Bluetooth device. You can connect the speaker to other mobile phones to check if the speaker works. Problem: Some functions of the player are not available on the speaker. Solution: Some player functions might not get supported by the speaker. Ensure that you use a compatible player on the mobile phone. First Edition (April 2015) © Copyright Lenovo 2015. 1 INTERTEK TESTING SERVICES RF Exposure The Equipment under Test (EUT) is a Lenovo 500 2.0 Bluetooth Speaker model BT500. It is powered by DC 3.7V. For more detail information please refer to the user manual. Antenna Type: Integral antenna. Antenna Gain: 0dBi. The nominal conducted output power specified: -1.0d Bm ±3dB. The nominal rad iated output power(EIRP) specified: -4.0d Bm ~ 2.0dBm Maximum tested power is 0.21dBm for BLE mode with GFSK modulation; Minimum tested power is -2.54dBm for EDR mode with 8DPSK modulation; A ccording to the KDB 447498: The maximun conducted output power specified is 2.0dBm = 1.6mW The source- based time-averaging conducted output power = 1.6* Duty Cycle mW<= 1.6mW (Duty Cycle <= 100%) The SAR Exclusion Threshold Level: = 3.0 * (min. test separation distance, mm) / sqrt(freq. in GHz) = 3.0 * 5 / sqrt (2.480) mW = 9.5 mW Since the source-based time-averaging conducted output power is well below the SAR low threshold level, so the EUT is considered to comply with SAR requirement without testing.
