This equipment complies with FCC/IC radiation exposure limits set forth for uncontrolled equipment and meets the FCC/IC radio fre- quency (RF) Exposure Guidelines in Supplement C to OET65 and RSS-102 of the IC radio frequency (RF) exposure rules. This equipment has very low levels of RF energy that it is deemed to comply without testing of specific absorption ratio (SAR). This transmitter must not be co-located or operated in conjunction with any other antenna or transmitter. This class B digital apparatus complies with Canadian ICES-003. FCC ID: AJDK011 MODEL NO. : ND-BT1 IC: 775E-K011 This device complies with Part 15 of FCC Rules and RSS-Gen of IC Rules. Operation is subject to the following two conditions: (1) this device may not cause interference, and (2) this device must accept any interference, including inter- ference that may cause undesired operation of this device. MADE IN JAPAN Alteration or modifications carried out without appropriate authorization may invalidate the user's right to operate the equipment. This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a class B digital device, pursuant to Part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reason- able protection against harmful interference in a residential installation. This equipment generates, uses and can radi- ate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio com- munications. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation. If this equipment dose cause harmful interfer- ence to radio or television reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or more of the follow- ing measures: — Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna. — Increase the separation between the equip- ment and receiver. — Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connected. — Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help. About Bluetooth Bluetooth is a short-range wireless radio connectivity technology that is developed as a cable replacement for cellular phones, handheld PCs and other devices. Bluetooth operates in 2.4 GHz frequency range and transmits voice and data at speeds up to 1 megabit per second. Bluetooth was launched by a special interest group (SIG) that comprises of Ericsson Inc., Intel Corp., Nokia Corp., Toshiba and IBM in 1998, and it is currently developed by nearly 2 000 companies worldwide. • The Bluetooth word mark and logos are owned by the Bluetooth SIG, Inc. and any use of such marks by Pioneer Corporation is under license. Other trade- marks and trade names are those of their respective owners. Operating environment This unit should be used within the temperature ranges shown below. Operating temperature range: -10 to +60 °C (14 to 140 °F) EN300328 ETC test temperature : -20 and +55 °C (-4 and 131 °F) • The line-of-sight distance between this unit and your cellular phone must be 10 meters or less in sending and receiving voice and data via Bluetooth technol- ogy. However, the transmission distance may become shorter than the estimated distance, depending on the environment in use. • There are some Bluetooth enabled cellular phones that can be incompatible with this unit due to their Bluetooth version. • The performance test of this unit w…

Applicant: PIONEER CORPORATION Type of Equipment : Bluetooth Unit Model No. : ND-BT1 FCC ID: AJDK011 PIONEER CORPORATION declares that Model : Bluetooth Unit complies with FCC radiation exposure requirement specified in the FCC Rules 2.1091. The “ND-BT1“ has 0.85 mW of conducted Peak Output power and 1.34 mW of EIRP. The Following calculation is the reference data for 20cm distance for mobile use. RF Exposure Calculations: The following information provides the minimum separation distance for the highest gain antenna provided with the “ND-BT1“ as calculated from FCC OET Bulletin 65 Appendix A, Table (B) Limits for General Population / Uncontrolled Exposure. This calculation is based on the highest EIRP possible from the system, considering maximum power and antenna gain, and considering a 1.0mW/cm^2 uncontrolled exposure limit. The Friis formula used was: S = (P * G) / (4 * π * r 2 ) Where P = 0.85mW (Maximum peak output power) G = 1.58Numerical Antenna gain; equal 2.00dBi r =20.0 cm For: ND-BT1S = 0.00027 mW/cm 2 RF Exposure for Mobile use No. : 26DE0153-YK-1
