Your vehicle has an amazing Gyro Stabilizer that makes it easy to drive – and lets it perform amazing stunts! The stabilizer safely spins at high speed inside the rear wheel, and it works like a gyroscope to help keep your vehicle upright. 1. GET SET! Energize the gyro stabilizer! Hold the vehicle off the ground and push the left control control up. Once the stabilizer spins up to full speed, you’ll be able to hear it – and if you twist the vehicle from side to side you’ll really feel it working! Be sure to hold the vehicle by the rider figure, keeping your fingers clear of the wheels. 2. LAUNCH IT! Now gently hand-launch your vehicle. Set it on the ground and give it a gentle push while pushing the left control up. Now you’re ready for the coolest stunts! I. CONTENTS VEHICLE Left control: forward & braking Your transmitter is equipped with a special automatic ON battery- saving feature. Just turn your vehicle ON. Then push either transmitter control and you will be able to run and control your vehicle. Right control: turning Flex antenna TRANSMITTER (1)STUNT SCOOTER Vehicle (1) Transmitter CAUTION: Surfaces may become hot and cause burns if electronics get wet. Do not operate vehicle through water or snow.

QUICK START Please read this Owner’s Manual thoroughly. 1.Start with a fresh set of batteries. 2.Turn vehicle switch ON. Press transmitter controls to run and control your vehicle. 3.When you’re done driving, turn vehicle switch OFF. Remove all batteries for storage. nMulti function n Available in 2 frequencies: 27 MHz and 49 MHz (refer to labels on transmitter & vehicle for frequency) nRange up to 30’/9m FEATURES Steering Adjuster (adjust, if nec- essary, to keep vehicle running straight) 2 3 IV. QUICK TIPS ∂ When your vehicle starts to lose power, it may lose functions or performance. It’s time for fresh batteries. Your vehicle’s running time may change depending on your driving style. Â Radio interference can make your vehicle run badly. Interference can be caused by other R/C vehi- cles running on the same frequency; electrical wires; large buildings; or CB radios. Try to stay away from these! ’Point your transmitter antenna up - not down toward your vehicle. If your vehicle gets too far away, it won’t work properly. pDon’t drive your vehicle in sand or through water or snow. If your vehicle does get wet, wipe with a towel and allow to dry completely. ÚDon’t store your vehicle near heat or in direct sun- light. Always turn switch OFF and remove all batter- ies for storage. FORWARD LEFT TURNRIGHT TURN III. Stunt Scooter 27.145 MHz Mattel Part # 97595 Transmitter FCC ID: APB97595-01A2T 09/17/01 STUNT SCOOTER # 97595 27.145MHz TRANSMITTER OPERATIONAL DESCRIPTION The Stunt Scooter radio control transmitter is a low powered, hand held unit for controlling the movementof a toy scooter. The transmitter is powered by a 9 volt battery. It is designed to operate on a single fixed frequency in the 26.96 – 27.28 MHz band. See the attached block diagram and schematic. Input switches trigger an integrated circuit ( U1 ) which produces the digital control signals which will modulate the carrier signal. The carrier signal is generated by a crystal oscillator/ amplifier circuit comprised of a 27.145 MHz crystal ( X1 ) and a npn transistor ( Q1 ). The RF carrier signal is modulated by the digital control signal at the base of an RF amplifier stage ( Q2 ). The modulated output of the RF amplifier stage is capacitively coupled ( via C7 ) to the antenna through a “ pi “ matching network comprised of C8, L1 and C9. The whip antenna is 8 inches long and permanently attached. All tuning and verifications are performed by the manufacturer and there are no adjustments which can be made by the user. No external ground is required or used with this transmitter.
