Keep these instructions for future reference: they contain important information. STUNT SCOOTER STUNT SCOOTER GET STARTED! Your vehicle has an amazing Gyro Stabilizer that makes it easy to drive – and lets it perform amazing stunts! The stabilizer safely spins at high speed inside the rear wheel, and it works like a gyroscope to help keep your vehicle upright. 1. GET SET! Energize the gyro stabilizer! Hold the vehicle off the ground and push the left control control up. Once the stabilizer spins up to full speed, you’ll be able to hear it – and if you twist the vehicle from side to side you’ll really feel it working! Be sure to hold the vehicle by the rider figure, keeping your fingers clear of the wheels. 2. LAUNCH IT! Now gently hand-launch your vehicle. Set it on the ground and give it a gentle push while pushing the left control up. Now you’re ready for the coolest stunts! I. CONTENTS VEHICLE Left control: forward & braking Your transmitter is equipped with a special automatic ON battery- saving feature. Just turn your vehicle ON. Then push either transmitter control and you will be able to run and control your vehicle. Right control: turning Flex antenna TRANSMITTER (1)STUNT SCOOTER Vehicle (1) Transmitter CAUTION: Surfaces may become hot and cause burns if electronics get wet. Do not operate vehicle through water or snow.

QUICK START Please read this Owner’s Manual thoroughly. 1.Start with a fresh set of batteries. 2.Turn vehicle switch ON. Press transmitter controls to run and control your vehicle. 3.When you’re done driving, turn vehicle switch OFF. Operational Description

Stunt Scooter 49.860 MHz Mattel Part # 97596 Receiver FCC ID: APB97596-01A4R 09/17/01 STUNT SCOOTER # 97596 49.860MHz RECEIVER OPERATIONAL DESCRIPTION The Stunt Scooter is a radio controlled toy scooter . It operates on 6 volts supplied by four 1.5 volt alkaline AA batteries. It is designed to operate on a single fixed frequency in the 49.82-49.90 MHz band. See the attached block diagram and schematic. The modulated RF signal from the transmitter induces an electrical signal into the scooter’s permanently attached internal wire antenna . The electrical signal is selectively amplified by a super regenerative input circuit ( Q1,L2,L3,C2-C5 ). The signal is then capacitively coupled ( via C8 ) to an integrated circuit ( RX2 ) were the signal is further amplified and decoded. A digital output from the RX2 drives a transistor drive circuit ( Q3,Q5 ) for controlling the speed of the drive motor. Another digital output from RX2 drives a second transistor pair ( Q4,Q6 ) to provide dynamic braking of the drive motor. A pair of digital outputs from RX2 drives a full H-bridge drive circuit ( Q9-Q12 ) for controlling the speed and direction of the steering motor. All tuning and verifications are performed by the manufacturer and there are no adjustments which can be made by the user. No external ground is required or used with this receiver.
