A ll rights reserved. *DOC475-031-EN-B* ElectricalSeparate Power SourcesBefore you connect the terminal power pack to an electrical outlet, check that the on/off power switch on the terminal is off. If the terminal does not have an on/off switch, check that the power cable connector is removed from the terminal's power port. Or, when c onnecting the terminal to a power pack, always connect the plug of the power pack to an electrical wall outlet first. Then con nect the power cable to the terminal's power port.The reference input power ratings are as follows: • Input Voltage: 1 00-240V AC, 5 0/60Hz • Output Voltage: 5V DC, 2.2A Model V400m Plus 4G/V400m Plus 4G WW and V400m-2 is intended to be provided with a Listed Power Supply module having an output rating of 5V DC, minimum 2.2A, Tma 40°C, Class II and evaluated as a Limited Power Source or PS2 or equivalent. Location – Electrical ConsiderationsCAUTION: Due to the risk of electric shock or damage to the terminal, do not use this equipment near a water source, for example near a bathtub, washbowl, kitchen sink or laundry tub, in a wet basement or near a swimming pool. Likewise, avoid using this product during thunderstorms causing power cuts. Avoid placing th e terminal near electrical devices or other units that could cause large voltage fluctuations o r electrical interference, su ch as air conditioners, neon signs, high frequency safety devic es or electrical equipment. There are no serviceabl e parts inside. Replace the unit if it is damaged or exposed to excess moisture. Disconnecting PowerDisconnecting power during a trans action may cause transaction data files that are not yet stored in the terminal memory to be lost. EquipmentLocation – Environme ntal Considerations Do not plug the power pack into an outdoor outlet. The terminal is not waterproof. Any damage to the unit from exposure to wat er or dust may void your warrant y. Do not use the device where there is high heat, dust, humidity, moisture, or caustic chemicals or oils. K eep the device away from direct sunlight and anything that radi ates heat, such as a stove or a motor. WARNING! Your device contains sensitive electronic components that can b e permanently damaged if exposed to excessive shock or vibratio n. To minimize the risk of damage to your device, avoid dropping your device and operating it in high-shock and high-vi bration environments. Do not store the device where prolonged e xposure to extreme temperature can occur, because it can cause permanent damage. Do not expose the device to water.
