NONO NONO NO TETE TETE TE :: :: : Modifications to this product will void the user's authority to operate this I I I I I NTRODUCTIONNTRODUCTION NTRODUCTIONNTRODUCTION NTRODUCTION Your Wireless Motion Activated Camera consists of a Color Video Camera with built-in 2.4 GHz transmitter. It is activated by its built-in Motion Sensor so that when someone approaches your home, the camera turns on and also turns on the attached floodlights to light up the area that the camera sees (bulbs not included). The camera transmits its picture and sound via a built-in 2.4 GHz transmitter, to a Video Receiver (sold separately) which you connect to a TV anywhere in your home. The Camera sends the wireless signals (even through walls, up to 100 ft.). The Video Receiver converts the signals back to video and audio signals and feeds them through a cable to your TV's COAX or A/V input jacks. You can purchase additional Motion Activated Cameras (up to 4) so you can have a multiple camera system. Screw the base of each lamp holder into the outer holes on the mounting plate. 2. Rotate the locking ring on each lamp holder towards the plate until the lamp holder is secure against the plate. 3. Screw the threaded end of the motion activated camera into the center hole on the mounting plate. 4. Lock the motion activated camera into place using the locking ring. 5. Locate each lamp holder's WHITE wire and one of the WHITE wires from the motion activated camera and twist all three wires together using a wire nut (supplied). 6. Locate each BLACK wire from the lamp holders and connect them both to the BLUE wires from the motion activated camera, again using a wire nut. Make sure no bare whiskers of wire stick out (cover with electrical tape if necessary). Turning the switch off will completely disable the motion activated camera. Operational Description

VT38A Operational Description The VT38A has a wireless audio/video 2.4 GHz transmitter and 310 MHz pulsed RF transmitter contained in a single package. Both transmitters are activated when the integral motion detector senses motion. Up to four cameras may be connected on a single system. 2.4 GHz transmitter: The VT38A has a wireless audio/video 2.4 GHz transmitter which operates in the 2400 to 2483.5 MHz band on four discrete channels (A thru D) beginning at 2410 MHz and ending at 2472 MHz. The VT38A takes audio as well as video from the motion activated camera and frequency modulates the carrier with the camera output signals at the chosen channel frequency. The signal is then transmitted by the integral patch antenna to it’s associated receiver where it is demodulated back to it’s original audio/video components for display on a television. 310 MHz transmitter: The 310 MHz pulsed RF transmitter is also activated by motion and transmits an X-10 pulse train which can disable the other 3 cameras in the system while the camera which is activated sends its video.

The analyzer was set for a frequency span of 0Hz. The sweep time was then adjusted in order to display one full pulse train. The transmitter on time was then summed and compared to the time for one full cycle in order to obtain the duty cycle. (See plots for additional information) Transmitter On Time=28.9 milliseconds Transmitter Cycle Time=105.5 milliseconds Transmitter Duty Cycle=28.9 % CALCULATION: 1 Large Pulse = 9.1 milliseconds 33 x 600 μs (small pulse)= 19.8 milliseconds 10.5 + 19.8= 28.9 milliseconds Duty Cycle=28.9 % Correction Factor = 20 log(0.288) =-10.8 SPECTRUM ANALYZER DESENSITIZATION CONSIDERATIONS Due to the nature of the emissions being measured, care was taken to ensure that the resolution bandwidth of the spectrum analyzer was adequate to provide accurate measurements. The following formula was utilized: Setting pulse desensitization equal to zero and utilizing the minimum observed pulse width of 600μs yields a minimum required bandwidth of 1.111 kHz. FCC specified bandwidths of 100kHz and 1MHz were utilized below and above 1GHz, respectively.
