Quick Reference Installation Guide HM ELECTRONICS, INC. 2848 Whiptail Loop, Carlsbad, CA 92010 USA Phone: 1-800-848-4468 Fax: 858-552-0172 Website: www.hme.com Email: [email protected] HME# PUB - 000xx Rev A 09/01/20 NEXEO AIO HS7000 HEADSET The AIO HS7000 Headset is an all-in-one headset for communicating with customers in a drive-th- ru lane environment and with fellow employees privately or in group chats. It uses one BAT70 lithium-ion battery. With moderate use in a normal environment, the headset will operate for approxi- mately six to eight hours on a single battery charge and will alert you when the battery charge is low. SETUP AND OPERATION Pairing your Headset (AIO HS7000): 1. Insert a fully charged BAT70 battery into the battery holder of the headset (see Fig. 1). The battery clicks securely into place. 2. Press the blue power button to turn on the headset (see Fig. 1). The Headset status LED (Fig. 1) turns on green and blinks, alternating between green and red, indi- cating you now need to pair the headset. 3. Hold the keypad side of the headset against the Headset Pairing Ring (solid blue circle) on the Base Station to pair. Pairing begins automatically as soon as the head- set is sensed. The circular blue light turns a swirling green to indicate pairing is in progress (see Fig. 2). 4. When the Headset Pairing Ring turns solid green, pairing is successful. The headset status LED also turns solid green. Registra- tion also happens automatically with the initial pairing. See note if pairing fails. 5. The Select Your Position screen appears (see Fig. 3). Tap on a pane to select your position. This selection assigns you to a channel. Note: If you are selecting DRIVE-THRU 1 (or DRIVE-THRU 2 for stores with two lanes), you also have the option of AUTO HANDS-FREE mode (see Fig. 3), which saves you from having to manually connect with a new customer by tapping the headset button. Hold the headset steadily centered and flush against the Headset Pairing Ring (headset movement and distance from the Pairing Ring can cause pairing errors). © 2020 HM Electronics, Inc. Follow the manufactur- er’s safety information and operational instructions for tools and materials. Be aware of your surroundings. Failure to heed such precautions can cause injury and/or property damage. Hygiene, Health, and Safety Part of this installation requires working within a restaurant/store where food is prepared, and customers dine. Please consult the restaurant/store manager, standard operating procedures and any additional restaurant safety/advisory protocols available before be- ginning work within the restaurant/store. Follow the instructions and guidelines provided. Fig. 3 When you check this AUTO HANDS-FREE mode box located below the DRIVE-THRU 1 pane, you are automatically connected with a customer when they arrive at the order point. You are then automatically disconnected when they leave the order point. This feature is only available for one headset per drive-thru lane. The headset remains in this mode until the headset is taken out of use and powered off. 6. Select Next, and a Success prompt appears (Fig. 4). Click OK to begin using your headset. RF Exposure Info

FCC RF Exposure Evaluation (FCC ID: BYM7002) RF Exposure Requirements: 47 CFR §1.1307(b) RF Radiation Exposure Limits: 47 CFR §1.1310 RF Radiation Exposure Guidelines: FCC OST/OET Bulletin Number 65 EUT Frequency Band: 2402-2480MHz 5150-5825MHz Equation: According to the procedure in KDB447498 (v05r02) section 4.3, 1g-SAR testing is excluded if the following criteria is met. (P/d)* √f ≤3.0 for 1-g SAR 10g-SAR testing is excluded if the following criteria is met. (P/d)* √f ≤7.5 for 10-g SAR Where P is the time averaged maximum conducted power in mW d minimum separation distance in mm f is the frequency in GHz ________________________________________________________________________________________________ The distance between the antenna and human body is 5 mm. The calculation was based on the distance of 5 mm. Radio Frequency (MHz) Max E.I.R.P (dBm) Max E.I.R.P (mW) Maximum Source- based Duty Cycle (%) Max source- based average output power (mW) Measurement distance (mm) Test Exclusion Threshold Result BLE 2402-2480 2.175 1.65 100% 1.65 5 0.520 5GHz 5180-5240 24.230 264.85 1.43 % 3.79 5 1.735 5GHz 5260-5320 22.430 174.98 1.43 % 2.50 5 1.153 5GHz 5500-5720 22.100 162.18 1.43 % 2.32 5 1.110 5GHz 5745-5825 23.430 220.29 1.43 % 3.15 5 1.521 The above results show that the device is excluded for both standalone 1g-SAR and 10g-SAR testing. Per KDB447498, section 4.3.2, b), the simultaneous transmission SAR test exclusion shall be considered. The standalone SAR value is estimated as follows, [(max. power of channel, including tune-up tolerance, mW) / (min. test separation distance, mm)]·[√f(GHz)/x] W/kg, for test separation distances ≤ 50 mm; where x = 7.5 for 1-g SAR and x = 18.75 for 10-g SAR For BLE, standalone 1g-SAR = (P/d)* (√f/7.5) = 0.069 w/kg standalone 10g-SAR = (P/d)* (√f/18.75) = 0.028 w/kg For 5GHz, standalone 1g-SAR = (P/d)* (√f/7.5) = 0.231 w/kg standalone 10g-SAR = (P/d)* (√f/18.75) = 0.093 w/kg So simultaneous 1g-SAR = 1g-SAR (BLE) + 1g-SAR (5GHz) = 0.30 w/kg < 1.6 W/kg simultaneous 10g-SAR = 10g-SAR (BLE) + 10g-SAR (5GHz) = 0.121 w/kg < 4 W/kg The above results show that the device is excluded for both simultaneous 1g-SAR and 10g-SAR testing.
