Note: Per Industry Canada Section 5.3 - The rated output power of this equipment is for single carrier operation. For situations where multiple carrier signals are present, the rating would have to be reduced by 3.5 dB, especially where the output signal is re-radiated and can cause interference to adjacent band users. This power reduction is to be by means of input power or gain reduction and not by an attenuator at the output of the device. American Telecommunications Certification Body Inc. 6731 Whittier Ave, McLean, VA 22101 December 18, 2006 RE: FCC ID: F8I-DSCSMR2P_ATCB004349 Attention: Joel T Schneider I have a few comments on this Application. Please note that further comments may arise in response to answers provided to the questions below. FCC 1. Please note that the 731 states that the device operates in two rule parts. Please be more specific as to which frequencies are to be assigned to which rule part. For example, the 851-869 and 935- 940MHz appear to be part 90 and the 1930-1990MHz appear to be part 24E. Please clarify. 2. The FCC ID label appears to be on a removable cover. As you are aware this is not allowed. Please explain and please show how this is not a removable cover or alternately, please show where the label will be placed on the device so as not to be on a removable cover. IC 3. Please be more specific as to which emissions designator is appropriate for which frequency band in the IC application form. Dennis Ward mailto:[email protected] The items indicated above must be submitted before processing can continue on the above referenced application. Failure to provide the requested information may result in application termination. Correspondence should be considered part of the permanent submission and may be viewed from the Internet after a Grant of Equipment Authorization is issued. Please do not respond to this correspondence using the email reply button. In order for your response to be processed expeditiously, you must submit your documents through the AmericanTCB.com website. Also, please note that partial responses increase processing time and should not be submitted. Any questions about the content of this correspondence should be directed to the sender.

ATCB Comments: Please note that the 731 states that the device operates in two rule parts. Please be more specific as to which frequencies are to be assigned to which rule part. For example, the 851-869 and 935-940 MHz appear to be part 90 and the 1930-1990MHz appear to be part 24E. Please clarify. TÜV RESPONSE: The Form 731 has been revised to clearly indicate the frequency ranges and corresponding FCC Part. 2. ATCB Comments: The FCC ID label appears to be on a removable cover. As you are aware this is not allowed. Please explain and please show how this is not a removable cover or alternately, please show where the label will be placed on the device so as not to be on a removable cover. ADC RESPONSE: The SCS unit is not field serviceable, and there isn't a removable aspect to it once it's assembled with electronics. The SCS unit requires a specially designed mounting fixture due to the delicacy of the fully installed and wired equipment. The only way these two pieces would be separated is only when there is no equipment installed. Photos of the wiring and mounting are attached. Please let us know if you require additional information. 3. ATCB Comments: Please be more specific as to which emissions designator is appropriate for which frequency band in the IC application form. TÜV RESPONSE: The RSP-100 Application has been revised to clearly indicate the frequency ranges and corresponding emission designators. The above referenced documents have been uploaded to the website at the same time as this response. Please let us know if anything further is required.
