Users Manual

User Manual SMK Transceiver Module MODEL RXX9000-09XXF The purpose of this manual is to explain correct way how to integrate module RXX9000-09XXF to the end product. It includes procedures that shall assist you to avoid unforeseen problems. This manual presents information that shows how module and OEM product, where module integrated, complies with regulations in certain regions. Any modifications, not expressly approved by the manufacturer could void the authority to operate in these regions. The SMK Transceiver Module, model RXX9000-09XXF has to be installed and used in accordance with the technical description/installation instructions provided by the manufacturer. For detail information concerning type approval of this module (e.g. where this module is already pre-approved) please contact the authorized local distributor or the manufacturer. The system may only be implemented in the configuration that was authorized. Note that any changes or modifications to this equipment not expressly approved by the manufacturer could void the user’s authority to operate this equipment. Concept of SMK Transceiver Module, RXX9000-09XXF This Module is a 2.4 GHz ISM band small-power transceiver module with a built-in antenna. With UART and PWM output provided as an interface, sending and receiving of wireless data is a matter of simplicity via UART. PWM can output received wireless data in several decoded formats of remote control data. Regulatory Information USA-Federal Communications Commission (FCC) This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to Part 15 of FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation. This equipment generates, uses, and can radiate radio frequency energy. If not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, it may cause harmful interference to radio communications. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation. If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by tuning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try and correct the interference by one or more of the following measures: -Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna. -Increase the distance between the equipment and the receiver. -Connect the equipment to outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connected. -Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help. This device complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the following two conditions: (1) This device may not cause harmful interference, and (2) This device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation. Any changes or modifications not expressly approved by the party responsible for compliance could void the user’s authority to operate the equipment. Labelling SMK Transceiver module RXX9000-09XXF labelled as below. FCC ID:GT3FC003 The proposed FCC ID label format is to be placed on the module. If FCC ID is not visible when the module is installed into the system, “Contains FCC ID:GT3FC003” shall be placed on the outside of final host system. Caution: Exposure to Radio Frequency Radiation. To comply with FCC RF exposure compliance requirements, a separation distance of at least 20 cm must be maintained between the antenna of this device and all persons. This device must not be co-located or operating in conjunction with any other antenna or transmitter. Europe-EU Declaration of Conformity and Restrictions European Community Declaration of Conformity with Regard to the R&TTE Directive 1999/5/EC The following standards were applied: • Radio: EN 300-328 v1.6.1 (2.4GHz operation) • EMC: EN 301.489-1 v1.6.1, EN 301.489-17 v1.2.1 • Safety: EN 60950-1:2001 We hereby declare that the human exposure of the Mitsumi module WML-C43 is below the SAR limits specified in the EU recommendation 1999/519/EC (the applicable limits are specified in table 1 with 2W/kg). The following CE mark is affixed to the device: Note: This equipment is intended to be used in all EU and EFTA countries. Outdoor use may be restricted to certain frequencies and/or may require a license for operation. For more details, contact your customer service representative. Where it concerns radio equipment, such information shall be sufficient to identify on the packaging and the instructions for use of the apparatus the Member States or the geographical area within a Member State where the equipment is intended to be used and shall alert the user by the marking on the apparatus referred to in Annex VII, paragraph 5, to potential restrictions or requirements for authorization of use of the radio equipment in certain Member States.
