Operational Description

Technical Description The Equipment Under Test (EUT) is a portable 2.4GHz Bluetooth speaker. The EUT can accept line in analog audio source. The Bluetooth portion is operating between 2402MHz and 2480MHz (79 channels with 1MHz channel spacing). The EUT is powered by 3.7VDC (1 x 3.7V rechargeable battery) or powered by USB port. When the EUT is switched ON in Bluetooth mode, the light will be flashing. The corresponding Bluetooth device would be searched and connected to the EUT before playing audio. After pairing, the light will stay lit. The EUT is using non-adaptive frequency hopping as declared by applicant. 2.4GHz Bluetooth Module: Modulation Type: GFSK Antenna Type: Integral, Internal (PCB Trace) Frequency Range: 2402MHz - 2480MHz, 1MHz channel spacing, 79 channels Antenna Type: External integral antenna Antenna Gain: 0dBi Nominal rated field strength: 90.0dBμV/m at 3m Maximum allowed field strength of production tolerance: +/- 8dB The functions of main ICs are mentioned below. 1. Bluetooth module U3 (GWB005): 1) WS9622NLME (U1) acts as the 2.4GHz radio core of Bluetooth module 2) The 26MHz crystal provides system clock for WS9622NLME (U1). 2. Audio portion: 1) U1 and U2 (4871) is power amplifier driving 2 speakers (2W4R). 3. Power Management portion: 1) U4 (4054) is 3.3V regulator which is providing 3.3V to Bluetooth module. Antenna Type: Internal integral antenna Antenna Gain: 0dBi Nominal rated field strength: 90.0dBμV/m at 3m Maximum allowed field strength of production tolerance: +/- 8dB According to the KDB 447498: Based on the Maximum allowed field strength of production tolerance was 98.0dBμV/m at 3m in frequency 2.4GHz, thus; The EIRP = [(FS*D) ^2*1000 / 30] = 1.893mW Conducted power = Radiated Power (EIRP) – Antenna Gain So; Conducted Power = 1.893mW. The SAR Exclusion Threshold Level: = 3.0 * (min. test separation distance, mm) / sqrt(freq. in GHz) = 3.0 * 5 / sqrt (2.480) mW = 9.53 mW Since the above conducted output power is well below the SAR Exclusion threshold level, so the EUT is considered to comply with SAR requirement without testing.
