THIS IS A POST-GRANT CONFIDENTIALITY REQUEST Date: May 16, 2022 Subject: Request for Confidential Treatment - THIS IS A POST-GRANT CONFIDENTIALITY REQUEST FCC ID: HFS-A5QB To Whom It May Concern: On behalf of Quanta Computer Inc. I write to request the post-grant removal and permanent (long term) confidential treatment of the user manual and internal photographs, each of which are attached as exhibits to the equipment authorization application for FCC ID: HFS-A5QB. These materials contain trade secrets including sensitive technical and design information about our device that are not publicly available, and we would only share on a need-to-know basis, subject to non- disclosure agreements. If this information is disclosed, our competitors would gain an unfair commercial advantage over us by learning about our product design and development processes. This in turn would significantly harm our ability to compete in a highly competitive market space. In accordance with KDB 726920, we are therefore requesting that the FCC follow the “exceptional circumstances” procedure to grant permanent (long term) confidential treatment of the user manual and internal photos and remove these materials from the FCC’s public website. We acknowledge that the FCC has no obligation to remove confidential materials posted on third-party websites. We design and manufacture the equipment at issue in this request solely for one professional customer and do not sell the equipment to any other entities or persons. This equipment is not for sale to the general public and will not be sold to the general public via retail or otherwise. The Nationally Recognized Test Laboratory (NRTL) and Certification Body (CB) safety reports for this equipment states the classification of use and installation is limited to instructed persons or skilled persons only and not for ordinary persons. To maintain that classification, this device must be installed in a restricted access location. In addition, this equipment is not powered from a readily available power source; it requires a specialized power source with specialized connectors that is not available to the general public. Our only customer for this equipment is subject to the mutual non-disclosure agreement (NDA) provided as an exhibit to this confidentiality request. This non-disclosure agreement applies to all of the customer’s employees and agents who would be installing, removing, or otherwise working on the equipment at issue (who are also required to sign the same mutual non-disclosure agreement). User manuals and internal photographs fall within the definition of Confidential Information as defined in this non-disclosure agreement. Agreements or supporting NDA exhibits justifying confidentiality will be uploaded to the filling, which will also request permanent (long term) confidential treatment.
