Introduction This document gives the guidance on how to test Quanta devices. 2. Test Environment Quanta LM175 device supports Windows XP, Windows Vista (32 bit), and Windows 7 (32 bit) operating system. It’s recommended to install Quanta LM175 software in Windows 7 32-bit OS. 2.1. Uninstallation In order to install latest version of software, uninstallation of previous version is required, including drivers, connection manager, and corresponding software tools. 2.1.1. Windows 7 (32 bit) 1. Please click StartProgramsAltair SemiconductorLTE ALT3100Uninstall 2. Please click “Yes (Y)” button. Page 4 3. Please click “Uninstall” button. 4. Please wait a few seconds to complete uninstallation. 5. Please click “Close” button. 6. Please click “OK” button. 7. Quanta Computer Inc Date: July 22, 2014 Module Approval Checklist FCC ID: HFS-LM175 Item Requirements EUT 1. The modular transmitter must have its own RF shielding. The module is equipped with its own shielding case. 2. The modular transmitter must have buffered modulation / data inputs. The module has buffer modulation / data inputs. 3. The modular transmitter must have its own power supply regulation. The module has its own power supply regulation. 4. The module must contain a permanently attached antenna, or contain a unique antenna connector, and be marketed and operated only with specific antenna(s), Not applicable to licensed modules. 5. The modular transmitter must be tested in a stand-alone configuration. The module was tested on evaluation board, and it’s not inside of another device during testing. 6. The modular transmitter must be labeled with its own FCC ID number. The module transmitter will be labeled with its own FCC ID, and for OEM integration the integration manual contains labeling instructions for the host device per Part 15.212 (vi) 7. The modular transmitter must comply with any specific rule or operating requirements applicable to the transmitter and the manufacturer must provide adequate instructions along with the module to explain any such requirements. The module approved transmitter complies with all applicable rules and the integration manual contains any specific requirements addressed to the integrator and/or to the end-user of the final end-product. 8. The modular transmitter must comply with any applicable RF exposure requirement. The module complies with the FCC RF exposure requirements for fixed and mobile applications.

Single Modular approval. Power listed is conducted. Approval is limited to OEM installation only. Compliance of this device in all final host configurations is the responsibility of the Grantee. This device is to be used only for mobile applications. The antenna(s) used for this transmitter must be installed to provide a separation distance of at least 20cm from all persons and must not transmit simultaneously with any other antenna or transmitter, except in accordance with FCC multi-transmitter product procedures or as documented in this filing. The antenna installation and operating configurations of this transmitter, including antenna gain and cable loss must satisfy MPE categorical Exclusion Requirements of &sect;2.1091. The antenna(s) used for this transmitter must not exceed a maximum gain of 5dBi and 9dBi for band 4 and 13, respectively. OEM integrators must be provided with antenna installation instructions and labeling requirements for finished products. OEM integrators and end-Users must be provided with transmitter operation conditions for satisfying RF exposure compliance. This grant is valid only when the device is sold to OEM integrators and the OEM integrators are instructed to ensure that the end user has no manual instructions to remove or install the device. Separate approval is required for all other operating configurations, including portable configurations with respect to 2.1093 and different antenna configurations.
