USER’S MANUAL Radio Notice This equipment generates uses and can radiate radio frequency energy. If not installed and used in accordance with the instructions in this manual, it may cause interference to radio communications. The equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class A computing device pursuant to EN55022 and 47 CFR, Part 2 and Part 15 of the FCC rules. These specifications are designed to provide reasonable protection against interference when operated in a commercial environment. Radio and Television Interference Operation of this equipment in a residential area can cause interference to radio or television reception. This can be determined by turning the equipment off and on. The user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or more of the following measures: - Reorient the receiving antenna. - Relocate the device with respect to the receiver. - Move the device away from the receiver. - Plug the device into a different outlet so that the device and the receiver are on different branch circuits. If necessary the user may consult the manufacturer, and authorized dealer, or experienced radio/television technician for additional suggestions. The user may find the following booklet prepared by the Federal Communications Commission helpful: “How to Identify and Resolve Radio-TV Interference Problems.” This booklet is available from the U.S. Government Printing Office, Washington, DC 20402 U.S.A., Stock No. 04000003454. 0 Laser Safety This equipment generates, uses, and can radiate radio frequency energy. If not installed and used in accordance with the instructions in this manual, it may cause interference to radio communications. The equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class A computing device pursuant to EN55022 and 47 CFR, Part 2 and Part 15 of FCC Rules. These specifications are designed to provide reasonable protection against interference when operated in a commercial environment. Radiant Energy: The laser scanner uses one low-power visible laser diodes operating at 650nm in an opto-mechanical scanner resulting in less than 3.9μW radiated power as observed through a 7mm aperture and averaged over 10 seconds. Do not attempt to remove the protective housing of the scanner, as unscanned laser light with a peak output up to 0.8mW would be accessible inside. Handy W ireless Scanner iii Handy Wireless Scanner iv USER’S MANUAL Laser Light Viewing: The scan window is the only aperture through which laser light may be observed from this product. A failure of the scanner engine, while the laser diode continues to emit a laser beam, may cause emission levels to exceed those for safe operation. The scanner has safeguards to prevent this occurrence. If, however, a stationary laser beam is emitted, the failing scanner should be disconnected from its power source immediately. Adjustments: Do not attempt any adjustments or alteration of this product. Do not remove the protective housing of the scanner. There are no user-serviceable parts inside. Optical: The use of optical instruments with this product will increase the eye hazard. Optical instruments include binoculars, magnifying glasses, and microscopes but do not include normal eye glasses worn by the user. CAUTION: Use of controls or adjustments or performance of procedures other than those specified herein may result in hazardous radiation exposure. For CE-Countries This scanner is in conformity with CE standards. Please note that an approved, CE-marked power supply unit should be used in order to maintain CE conformance. Power Supply  Use only the type of battery and the charging equipments that came with your scanner.  Using any other type of battery and charging equipment may damage the scan…

FCC ID : JNF-BTS-325X Report No.T140219D05-RP1 Page 79 / 83 This report shall not be reproduced, except in full, without the written approval of Compliance Certification Services Inc. APPENDIX I RADIO FREQUENCY EXPOSURE PROCEDURES According to § 15.247 (i) and § 1.1307(b)(1), system operating under the provisions of this section shall be operated in a manner that ensures that the public is not exposed to radio frequency energy level in excess of the Commission’s guidelines. KDB 447498 D01: Approximate SAR test exclusion power thresholds at selected frequencies and test separation distances are illustrated in the following table: MHz 5 10 15 20 25 mm 150 39 77 116 155 194 300 27 55 82 110 137 450 22 45 67 89 112 835 16 33 49 66 82 900 16 32 47 63 79 1500 12 24 37 49 61 1900 11 22 33 44 54 2450 10 19 29 38 48 3600 8 16 24 32 40 5200 7 13 20 26 33 5400 6 13 19 26 32 5800 6 12 19 25 31 SAR Test Exclusion Threshold (mW) The 1-g and 10-g SAR test exclusion thresholds for 100 MHz to 6 GHz at test separation distances ≤ 50 mm are determined by: [(max. power of channel, including tune-up tolerance, mW)/(min. test separation distance, mm)] · [√f (GHz) ] ≤ 3.0 for 1-g SAR and ≤ 7.5 for 10-g extremity SAR, where • f (GHz) is the RF channel transmit frequency in GHz • Power and distance are rounded to the nearest mW and mm before calculation • The result is rounded to one decimal place for comparison The test exclusions are applicable only when the minimum test separation distance is ≤ 50 mm and for transmission frequencies between 100 MHz and 6 GHz. When the minimum test separation distance is < 5 mm, a distance of 5 mm is applied to determine SAR test exclusion. [(max. power of channel, including tune-up tolerance, mW)/(min. test separation distance, mm)] · [√f (GHz) ] = 5.8/5*√2.441 = 1.81 ≤ 3.0 Threshold at which no SAR required is 10mW and ≤ 3.0 for 1-g SAR, Separation distance is 5mm. Conclusion : The SAR measurement is exempt.
