IMPORTANTPOINTSTO REMEMBER: 1.Read and save these instructions. 2.Please note that all fixed wiring appliancesshouldbe installedby a qualifiedelectrician. 3.The supplyto the remotecontrolreceivershouldbe connectedthrougha mains switch,i.e. existingwall switch. 4.Disconnectfrom power supplyat wall switch before workingon remotecontrolreceiveror ceilingfan. 5.Install receiverinto the ceilingfan canopyof the fan to ensure proper protection. 6.This unit is to be used for the controlof ceilingfan and in aAC 110/120V 60Hz power supplyonly. 7.Do not install in damp locationsor immersein water. (For indoor use only.) 8.Do not pull on or cut leads shorter. 9.Do not drop or bump the unit. 10. PLEASENOTE:The batterywill weakenwith age and shouldbe replacedbefore leakingtakes place as this will damagethe transmitter.Disposeof used batteryproperly,keep the batteryout of reach of children. 11. INSTALLATIONIN STRUCTIONS 1.Ceilingfan must be set at HIGH speed and light kit (If any) at ON positionby pressingthe βLight Switch β after installation. 2.Once the connectionhas been made, the receiverinserts into the drop rod hangingbracket.The canopy comes up to cover the receiverand bracket. IMPORTANT YOU MUSTSET CEILINGFAN MANUALSWITCHTO HIGH SPEEDAND LIGHTKIT (IF ANY) TO ON POSITIONBEFOREOPERATINGREMOTECONTROL. CAUTION:INCORRECTWIRE CONNECTIONWOULDDAMAGETHIS RECEIVER. CODESWITCH 1.CODESWITCH:Codes are set by pushingdip switchesup or down. It is imperativethat the code used for both transmitterand receiveris exactlythe same, otherwiseremotecontrollerwill not work. Please note the code switch will enable you to operatea secondremotecontrollerindependently.For example,if you have two ceilingfans with 2 remotecontrolunits, set 2 differentcodes for each set of transmitter/receivers.This means you can operateeach ceilingfan independently. 2.Your remotecontrolis ready for use after batteryinstallation. FUNCTIONSOF TRANSMITTER OFF: Turn off the fan. HI: Turn on the fan at high speed . MED: Turn on the fan at mediumspeed LOW: Turn on the fan at low speed LIGHT: Press and releaseimmediatelyto turn on or off the light. Press and hold to dim or brightenlights to the desired level and release.(Only for the tungstenbulb.) .
