Installation Guidelines NOTE: This hardware is intended for use in an automobile only. Use of this devise in any other location would violate its design intent. MPC Elite Voice Interface Module (VIM) The MPC Elite VIM should be installed in the passenger compartment, on or near the front console. The MPC Elite should be installed vertically in vehicles with center consoles (figure 1). In vehicles without center consoles, the MPC Elite may be installed vertically or horizontally (figure 2). In all installations, avoid interference with vehicle systems and functions such as the accelerator, the brake, the parking brake and the travel of the passenger or driver seat mechanism.
