Users Manual

_ Continental Confidential and Proprietary USERS MANUAL  The PASS module is not a consumer electronics product designed to interface to a “end user”, instead this module will exclusively be connected to a vehicles head unit, in that context, the main step to establish a connection are as follows.l 1. The PASS module established a connection to a live mobile network 2. The vehicle starts then the head units starts establishing a connection to the PASS module via WiFi or Bluetooth 3. After steps 1 and 2 have been completed successfully, data can be transferred between the life network and the vehicle’s head unit. 4. There is no human interaction in the steps and the connection cannot be broken or altered 5. Connection and data transfer is fully software driven. The PASS module and the head unit will have the appropriate software that allows for communication

RF Exposure Info

Maximum Permissible Exposure calculations The MPE distance will be calculated for the worst case of a 100% transmitter duty cycle. For an isotropic radiator the surface area of a sphere can be used to determine the area over which the transceiver energy is radiated. Surface area of a sphere = 4 * π * radius2 In the case where there is an antenna gain, the worst case energy density is increased by the antenna gain. In this case, the exposure level for a controlled environment can be calculated as follows: MPE distance =((output power*duty cycle*10*(antenna gain/10))/(4* π*Exposure Limit [mW/cm2]))1/2 In the case of 0.0 dBi antenna MPE distance = ((3 mW * 1 * 1) /( 4 * 3.14 * 1)) 1/2 = 0.38 cm
