OT 8x0RF* Range English * OT8x0RF stands for OT860RF or OT890RF 2 Congratulations! You have just purchased a Sagem Wireless phone. It is recommended that you read this handbook carefully in order to use your phone efficiently and in the best conditions. This phone can be used internationally on the various networks [GSM 850 MHz, GSM 900 MHz, DCS 1800 MHz or PCS 1900 MHz] depending on the roaming arrangements with your operator. This phone is approved to meet European standards. OT8x0RF is intended to be used for network measurements; In order to measure radio parameters in good reception conditions, the mobile has no antenna and it is fit with an SMA connector to connect an external antenna. It must be connect to an external antenna. Typical use of this mobile is drive-test application in car where the mobile is used inside the car connected to a lap-top drive-test system and connected to a roof antenna located on the roof of the car. Exposure to Radio Frequency Energy OT8X0RF is a mobile radio transmitter and receiver provided with no internal antenna. This apparatus is designed to be used within the vicinity of the human body (separation distance greater than 20 cm between user and device). When on, OT8X0RF transmits and receives Radio Frequency (RF) energy through external antenna. An RF connector (SMA) is located on the back of the OT8X0RF to connect external antenna. To comply with the limits for exposure to RF energy set by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) of the United States and Industry Canada (IC), the connected external antenna maximum gain (including cable losses and attenuator if necessary), must not exceed the values in the following table: GSM 850PCS 1900 Max antenna gain including cable losses1,55dBi (-0,6dBd)4dBi (1,85dBd) RF exposure value0,49W/m 2 0,39W/m 2 T9® Text Input is a registered trademark of ©Tegic Communications Inc.
