11n/g/b 300Mbps router Abocom WR5503U User’s Manual Federal Communication Commission Interference Statement This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to Part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation. This equipment generates uses and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation. If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or more of the following measures: Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna. Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver. Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is needed. Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help. Warning: Changes or modifications to this unit not expressly approved by the party responsible for compliance could void the user authority to operate the equipment. This device complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the following two conditions: (1) this device may not cause harmful interference, and (2) this device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation. The user’s manual or instruction manual for an intentional or unintentional radiator shall caution the user that changes or modifications not expressly approved by the party responsible for compliance could void the user’s authority to operate the equipment. CAUTION: 1. To comply with FCC RF exposure compliance requirements, a separation distance of at least 20 cm must be maintained between the antenna of this device and all persons. 2. This Transmitter must not be co-located or operating in conjunction with any other antenna or transmitter Table of Content CHAPTER 1: INTRODUCTION.............................................................................. 1 Features......................................................................................................................................... 1 Physical Details.......................................................................................錯誤! 尚未定義書籤。 CHAPTER 2: ABOUT OPERATION MODES....................................................... 2 Operation Modes........................................................................................................................ 2 Router Mode................................................................................................................................2 Access Point Mode..................................................................................................................... 3 Converter Mode.......................................................................................................................... 3 CHAPTER 3: CONFIGURATION........................................................................... 4 Hardware Connection...........................................................................錯誤! 尚未定義書籤。 Login............................................................................................................................................... 4 Setup Wizard...............................................................................................................................8 Status........................................................................................................................................... 14 Network....................................................................................................................................... 15 Wireless....................................................................................................................................... 25 Firewall........................................................................................................................................ 37 Administration.......................................................................................................................... 44 CHAPTER 4: PC CONFIGURATION................................................................. 53 Overview..................................................................................................................................... 53 Windows Clients....................................................................................................................... 53 Macintosh Clients..................................................................................................................... 61 Linux Clients.............................................................................................................................. 61 Other Unix Systems................................................................................................................. 62 Wireless Station Configuration........................................................................................... 62 APPENDIX A: TROUBLESHOOTING................................................................. 64 Overview..................................................................................................................................... 64 General Problems..................................................................................................................... 64 Internet Access......................................................................................................................... 64 Wireless Access........................................................................................................................ 65…
