American Telecommunications Certification Body Inc. 6731 Whittier Ave, McLean, VA 22101 September 10, 2002 RE: AboCom Systems, Inc. FCC ID: MQ4WUE1K5 After a review of the submitted information, I have a few comments on the above referenced Application. These comments are all made upon the assumption that the EUT's full conducted output power is 58.5 mW and the antenna gain is 1.1 dBi. 1) Internal photographs provided can not clearly be seen. It appears that the conversion to PDF downsampled the image too much. Please increase the resolution of the internal photographs and resubmit. 2) To meet the manual requirements for DoC’s as specified by 2.1077(a)(1), the users manual (page 3) should also contain identification of the device (such as name and model number). 3) Since the EUT is not a portable device, for purposes of RF exposure it should be classified as a β€œmobile” device. Therefore, please: a) updated page 3 of the users manual to state 20 cm (instead of 2.5 cm) to be consistent with RF exposure information 4) The users manual is for a Wireless Short PC card and not the EUT, please provide the correct manual. Note manual can not be fully evaluated since incorrect one was supplied. 5) FYI, the test report (spectral density) states a VBW of 30 kHz, while the plots show 10 kHz. Timothy R. Johnson Examining Engineer mailto: [email protected] The items indicated above must be submitted before processing can continue on the above referenced application. Failure to provide the requested information may result in application termination. Correspondence should be considered part of the permanent submission and may be viewed from the Internet after a Grant of Equipment Authorization is issued. Please do not respond to this correspondence using the email reply button. In order for your response to be processed expeditiously, you must submit your documents through the AmericanTCB.com website. Also, please note that partial responses increase processing time and should not be submitted. Any questions about the content of this correspondence should be directed to the sender.
