The device under test is manufactured by the grantee (Schrader Electronics) and sold as an OEM product. Per 47 CFR 2.909, 2.927, 2.931, 2.1033, 15.15(b) etc..., the grantee must ensure the end-user has all applicable / appropriate operating instructions. When end-user instructions are required, as in the case of this product, the grantee must notify the OEM to notify the end- user. Schrader Electronics will supply this document to the reseller/distributor dictating what must be included in the end userβs manual for the commercial product. The following is in response to the comments made on the above referenced application. 1. The IC listing letter (REL letter), the FCC agency letter and the IC agency letter were all signed on March 15, 2007. That is almost 3 years ago. My contract with ATCB runs for only 2 years and then it needs to be renewed. I believe this old date will be an issue with both the FCC and IC. Please provide these letters with a current date of signing on each letter. These are signed corporate documents without a date of withdrawal, and thus their age is irrelevant to their legality. Withdrawal dates are intentionally left off by some applicants to eliminate the necessity to repeat paperwork. As is clearly the case, Adrian Condon is still our principle contact with Schrader. 2. The IC contact letter has several problems with it. The company name at the top of the letter is not Tomkins AMG as shown on the IC application form (it is Schrader International). The company number shown below the text is not 2546A as shown on the IC application form (it is NI25720). The address on the bottom of the letter is not 10 Stymie Blvd., Brantford, ON N3T 5K3 (it is 3200 Parker Drive, St. Augustine, FL 32084). Please let me know whether you wish to proceed with this application without the IC contact letter or if you wish to submit a corrected letter (since this letter is still voluntary). For Your Information - The frequency band 225-399.9 MHz is allocated for Government of Canada usage. There are different types of operations in different parts of this band of frequencies, including communications with aircraft and operations using high power transmitters. Besides avoiding the frequency bands of Table 1 of RSS-210 Issue 7, designers of low-power devices are strongly recommended to avoid wherever possible the entire 225 β 399.9 MHz band. The Tire Pressure Monitor System (TPMS) monitors tire air pressure in all tires and displays the information to the driver. The Tire Pressure Sensors (TPS) shall monitor the pressures and transmit the data to the receiver. The information is then sent to the driver on a display device mounted on or near the instrument panel. The tire air pressure is monitored in each of the wheels by a wheel- mounted tire pressure sensor unit. This data is then relayed via an RF data link to a receiver module located in the vehicle. The wheel- mounted sensor unit is an assembly consisting of the pressure sensor, related electronics, and power source.

Introduction This Schrader Transmitter was tested for compliance with FCC Regulations, Part 15, adopted under Docket 87-389, April 18, 1989 as subsequently amended, and with Industry Canada RSS-210/Gen, Issue 7, June 2007. Tests were performed at the University of Michigan Radiation Laboratory Willow Run Test Range following the procedures described in ANSI C63.4-2003 "Methods of Measurement of Radio- Noise Emissions from Low-Voltage Electrical and Electronic Equipment in the Range of 9 kHz to 40 GHz". The Site description and attenuation characteristics of the Open Site facility are on file with FCC Laboratory, Columbia, Maryland (FCC Reg. No: 91050) and with Industry Canada, Ottawa, ON (File Ref. No: IC 2057A-1). 2. Equipment Used The test equipment commonly used in our facility is listed in Table 2.1. Except where indicated as a pre- test, monitoring, or support device; all equipment listed below is a part of the University of Michigan Radiation Laboratory (UMRL) quality system.
