Operational Description

SCHRADER ELECTRONICS.LTD.. SYMC EDISON WAL 433 MHZ Product Specification. The TPMS Transmitter is installed to the valve stem in each tyre of a vehicle. The unit measures tyre pressure periodically and transmits this information by RF communication to a receiver inside the vehicle. In addition, the TPMS Transmitter performs the following functions: Determines a temperature compensated pressure value. Determines any abnormal pressure variations in the wheel. Monitors the state of the Transmitters’ internal battery and informs the receiver of a low battery condition.

Operational Description

Explanation XXOff modeSensor shall not transmit periodically while in Off mode. XLearn mode XXSensor shall not transmit periodically while in Stationary mode. X xX xXDrive mode xAlarmalarm conditions apply for significant changes in pressure Emergency Modes Consumer Use Modes Manufacturing & Service Mode Mode of Operation Sensor shall transmit 36 frames in a continuous burst upon entry to Learn mode. Upon completion of the Learn mode, the sensor will enter Stationary mode. Sensor shall enter Learn mode following (1) a Learn mode LF activation command, or (2) if two consecutive pressure samples in Off mode are greater than 0.225 bar (3.26 psi) from each other then the transmitter will enter Learn mode with 36 frames RF transmissions. The status of Factory mode will be enabled with factory counter defaulted to 20 drives. Stationary mode Factory WAL mode During the first 3 minutes in Factory WAL mode, the rate of transmissions is increased to 10 secs. The TPM sensor will transmit one block of data, 6 frames. There are 18 WAL cycle transmissions during this initial 3 minutes. After the initial 3 minutes, there will be a further 12 WAL cycle transmissions, each will transmit every 30 seconds. The total duration of Factory WAL mode will be for 30 cycles (9 minutes). Factory mode is disabled and cannot be entered into after 20 journeys. After 20 journeys, Normal WAL mode is enabled. Normal WAL mode The TPM sensor will transmit one block of data, 6 frames, every 30 secs. There are 18 WAL cycle transmissions (9 minutes) during Normal WAL mode before entering Drive mode. When WAL Mode expires the transmitter enters Drive Mode. In Drive Mode the TPM sensor will transmit one block of data, 3 frames, every 30 secs.
