R E S E T OFF ON A Appendix Support Software This Notebook PC comes with a support disc that provides BIOS, drivers and applications to enable hardware features, extend functionality, help manage your Notebook PC, or add functionality not provided by the native operating system. If updates or replace- ment of the support disc is necessary, contact your dealer for web sites to download individual software drivers and utilities. The support disc contains all drivers, utilities and software for all popular operating systems including those that have been pre-installed. Contact your retailer if you require such a solution. Note: Some of the Notebook PC’s components and features may not work until the device drivers and utilities are installed. Operating System and Software This Notebook PC may offer (depending on territory) its customers the choice of a pre-installed operat- ing system such as Microsoft Windows “XP”or“Vista”. The choices and languages will depend on the territory. The levels of hardware and software support may vary depending on the installed operating system. The stability and compatibility of other operating systems cannot be guaranteed. AppendixA System BIOS Settings Boot Device 2. Select each item and press [Enter] to select a device. 1. The channels are separated by 5MHz. This device supports the data rates of 1, 2, 5.5, 11Mbps in 802.11b mode and 6, 9, 12, 18, 24, 36, 48, 54Mbps in 802.11g mode. The signals are modulated by DSSS in 802.11b mode and OFDM in 802.11g mode. The antennas are Connector and use diversity to improve the receiving sensitivity. This Notebook P.C., complied with IEEE 802.11b and IEEE 802.11g, is a high-efficiency Wireless LAN adapter. It allows your computer to connect to a wireless network and to share resources, such as files or printers without network wires. Wired Equivalent Protection (WEP) algorithm is used. In addition, its standard compliance ensures that it can communicate with any IEEE 802.11b and IEEE 802.11g network.
