RE: ASUSTeK Computer Inc. FCC ID: MSQF9 I have a few comments on this Application. Depending on your responses, kindly understand there may be additional comments. 1.) It is very difficult to understand or judge the location of the antennas. Please provide a clear photo or drawing indicating the location. It would also be very helpful in this case to also provide a ruler or scale viewable in the photo. ANS: We’re waiting the sample from customer to take photo. I will upload later 2.) This filing seems very confused as to the frequency that it operates. The Form 731 lists one basic set of DTS frequencies in both 2.4 and 5.7GHz bands. But none of the other critical documents match. Please review the Test Report, SAR Report, Form 731, Manual (especially page 62), Operational Description, etc. Please take special care in determining which 5GHz bands this device will operate. ANS: The 731 form and test report have modified and upload to the website. 3.) FYI: If operations within the lower 5GHz bands are desired, please be aware that DFS testing, TPC, and “indoor use only” restrictions may apply. Operations under 15.407 will also require filing a Composite FCC application, which will incur additional filing costs. Please be careful! ANS: I have informed our engineer to pay attention to this issue. 4.) Please provide an RF block diagram ANS: I have upload to the website. 5.) Please provide an RF schematic. If somehow this has been missed, please indicate where on what page these Schematics can be found. ANS: I have upload to the website. 6.) The signer of Form 731 is Andrew Lin. The FCC contact window is Henry Yeh. Under what authority does Andrew Lin speak for ASUSTeK? 7.) ANS: We have added Henry Yen on the 731form. And put ASUS company stamp on the signed document to be an authorization. 7.) FYI: Please make note that because of the “frequency confusion” within this filing, a complete and through review is not possible. There are too many questions which are dependent on both the frequency and the applicable FCC rules section to be review efficiently. Depending on the finalized form of this complete Application, there may be additional questions. ANS: We will careful for this issue.

Depending on your responses, kindly understand there may be additional comments. 1.) The measured RF power shown in the EMC report is much, much higher than that shown in the SAR report and on the Form 731. This is, quite simply, not allowed. What is the power which should be shown on the Grant? 2.) The 15.407 UNII report appears to support use of channels within the 5250-5350 MHz range. Please review the entire test report beginning with page 5. 3.) Please provide a more complete block diagram of the radio module, specifically the radio transceiver GQ82534RDE. 4.) The contact window for ASUSTeK listed with FCC website is Henry Yeh. The signer of the Confidentiality Request and Agent Authorization is Andrew Lin. It is not sufficient to simply show both gentlemen on the application form – the FCC database must be correct. Under what authority does Andrew Lin speak for ASUSTeK? 5.) The radiated band edge in 802.11b/g on channel 11 seems a bit low. I would expect, assuming a 0dBi antenna, that radiated field strength would be close to 110-115dBuV. Your peak values (pages 41 – 48) are not even 100dBuV. This makes me suspect that the device was not maximized for radiated emissions before the radiated restricted band edge data was taken. Please review your band edge data. William H. Depending on your responses, kindly understand there may be additional comments. 1.) Please refer to your May 29 Test Report. I am unable to determine compliance with the provisions of 15.215(c) requirements that out-of-band emissions must be down 20dBc. Please provide band edge plots at 5150 and 5250 MHz using a RBW no smaller than 1% of the emission bandwidth, and centered directly on the 5150 and 5250 MHz band edge. William H.
