Page 2 FCC/ID NoticeFCC/ID Notice –– N99SSTM N99SSTM This device complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the following two conditions: (1) This device may not cause harmful interference, and (2) This device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation. CAUTION: Changes or modifications not expressly approved by the party responsible for compliance could void the user’s authority to operate this device. This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to Part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation. This equipment generates, uses and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation. If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or more of the following measures: ß Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna. ß Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver. ß Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connected. ß Consult your Authorized CompuStar dealer. ANTENNA MODULEANTENNA MODULE CompuStar 2WSSM is an antenna module (hereinafter called Antenna Module) with the FCC ID N99SSTM. Antenna Module is installed on the windshield horizontally for the maximum transmitting distance with Remote-Pager. © 2001 Firstech, Inc. Page 3 When Antenna Module receives a radio frequency signal from the hand- held transceiver (hereinafter called “Remote Pager”), the signal is demodulated to digital codes and then send it to Controller, then sends confirmation to Remote Pager. The typical electrical function of this Controller is attached in this manual as a wiring diagram. The Controller is connected to Antenna Module by wires. If Controller sends digital codes to Antenna Module through the connecting wires, the codes are modulated to radio frequency signal and sent to Remote Pager.

RF Exposure Info

Portable Spread Spectrum transmitter for authoriztion under §15.247. The transmitter operates in a single frequency band and it is not a module that operates as part of another product or device. The device does not operate in conjunction with another transmitter and its antenna is not co-located with other antennas. The device and its antenna may operate at less than 2.5 cm from a person’s body. The peak conducted with peak radiated (EIRP) output power are less than 25 mW. The device operates only in the 900 MHz band. Peak conducted output power is 7.9mW, and the antenna gain is 0 dBi. The antenna is directly attached to the device, no installation instructions are needed. The device is not a modular transmitter. Given these considerations, no instructions to the user are needed in the manual.

Limits and methods of measurement of radio interference characteristics of radio frequency devices. Operation within the bands 902-928 MHz, 2400-2483.5 MHz and 5725-5850 MHz. Purpose of Test: The tests were performed to demonstrate Initial compliance. 3.2 Methods & Procedures: 3.2.1 § 15.247 (a) Operation under the provisions of this section is limited to frequency hopping and direct sequence spread spectrum intentional radiators that comply with the following provisions: (1) Frequency hopping systems shall have hopping channel carrier frequencies separated by a minimum of 25 kHz or the 20 dB bandwidth of the hopping channel, whichever is greater. The system shall hop to channel frequencies that are selected at the system hopping rate from a pseudorandomly ordered list of hopping frequencies. Each frequency must be used equally on the average by each transmitter. The system receivers shall have input bandwidths that match the hopping channel bandwidths of their corresponding transmitters and shall shift frequencies in synchronization with the transmitted signals. (i) For frequency hopping systems operating in the 902–928 MHz band: if the 20 dB bandwidth of the hopping channel is less than 250 kHz, the system shall use at least 50 hopping frequencies and the average time of occupancy on any frequency shall not be greater than 0.4 seconds within a 20 second period; if the 20 dB bandwidth of the hopping channel is 250 kHz or greater, the system shall use at least 25 hopping frequencies and the average time of occupancy on any frequency shall not be greater than 0.4 seconds wi…
