These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference when the equipment is operated in a commercial environment. This equipment generates, uses and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. Operation of this equipment in a residential area is likely to cause harmful interference in which case the user will be required to correct the interference at his own expense. If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one of the following measures: - Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna. - Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver. - Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connected. - Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help. FCC Caution: Any changes or modifications not expressly approved by the party responsible for compliance could void the user's authority to operate this equipment. Operational Description

FCC ID: NHPWLAN2202 Report No.: RF981022L16 OPERATIONAL DESCRIPTION This device is a 2.4GHz/5GHz Dual Band Dual Concurrent IEEE802.11a+b+g+n Wireless LAN Router, which operates in both of the 5GHz and 2.4GHz bands and can transmitting simultaneously, the maximum data rate could be up to 300Mbps which OFDM technique. If the signal to noise radio is too poor which could not support 300Mbps, the 11Mbps data rate with DSSS technique will be applied. The transmitter of the EUT is powered by AC adapter. The antenna is Dipole antenna with R-SMA antenna connector. For more detailed instruction, please take a look at the user’s manual. FCC 15.407(c) states: The device shall automatically discontinue transmission in case of either absence of information to transmit or operational failure. These provisions are not intended to preclude the transmission of control or signaling information or the use of repetitive codes used by certain digital technologies to complete frame or burst intervals. Applicants shall include in their application for equipment authorization a description of how this requirement is met” Data transmission is always initiated by software, which is then pass down through the MAC, through the digital and analog baseband, and finally to the RF chip. Several special packets (ACKs, CTS, PSPoll, etc...) are initiated by the MAC. There are the only ways the digital baseband portion will turn on the RF transmitter, which it then turns off at the end of the packet. Therefore, the transmitter will be on only while one of the aforementioned packets are being transmitted.

ADDRESS: 7F., No.32, Zhongxing Rd., Xizhi City, Taipei County 221, Taiwan (R.O.C.) ISSUED BY: Bureau Veritas Consumer Products Services (H.K.) Ltd., Taoyuan Branch LAB ADDRESS: No. 47, 14th Ling, Chia Pau Tsuen, Lin Kou Hsiang, Taipei Hsien 244, Taiwan, R.O.C. TEST LOCATION: No. 19, Hwa Ya 2nd Rd, Wen Hwa Tsuen, Kwei Shan Hsiang, Taoyuan Hsien 333, Taiwan, R.O.C. FCC ID: NHPWLAN2202 Report No.: SA981022L16 Report Format Version 3.0.0. 2 RF EXPOSURE MEASUREMENT (MOBILE DEVICE) 1. INTRODUCTION In this document, we try to prove the safety of radiation harmfulness to the human body for our product. The limit for Maximum Permissible Exposure (MPE) specified in FCC 1.1310 is followed. The Gain of the antenna used in this product is measured in a Fully Anechoic Chamber (FAC) calibrated for antenna measurement in ADT, and also the maximum total power input to the antenna is measured. Through the Friis transmission formula and the maximum gain of the antenna, we can calculate the distance, away from the product, where the limit of MPE is reached. Although the Friis transmission formula is a far field assumption, the calculated result of that is an over-prediction for near field power density. We will take that as the worst case to specify the safety range. 2. RF EXPOSURE LIMIT According to FCC 1.1310: The criteria listed in the following table shall be used to evaluate the environmental impact of human exposure to radio-frequency (RF) radiation as specified in 1.1307(b) LIMITS FOR MAXIMUM PERMISSIBLE EXPOSURE (MPE) FREQUENCY RANGE (MHz) ELECTRIC FIELD STRENGTH (V/m) MAGNETIC FIELD STRENGTH (A/m) POWER DENSITY (mW/cm 2 ) AVERAGE TIME (minutes) (A)LIMITS FOR OCCUPATIONAL / CONTROL EXPOSURES 300-1500 ... ... FRIIS FORMULA Friis transmission formula : Pd = (Pout*G) / (4*pi*r 2 ) where Pd = power density in mW/cm 2 Pout = output power to antenna in mW G = gain of antenna in linear scale Pi = 3.1416 R = distance between observation point and center of the radiator in cm If we know the maximum Gain of the antenna and the total power input to the antenna, through the calculation, we will know the MPE value at distance r. Ref.: David K. Cheng, Field and Wave Electromagnetics, Second Edition, Page 640, Eq. (11-133). 4. EUT OPERATING CONDITION The software provided by Manufacturer enabled the EUT to transmit and receive data at lowest, middle and highest channel individually. 5. CLASSIFICATION The antenna of this product, under normal use condition, is at least 20cm away from the body of the user. Warning statement to the user for keeping at least 20cm or more separation distance with the antenna should be included in users manual. So, this device is classified as Mobile Device. FCC ID: NHPWLAN2202 Report No.: SA981022L16 Report Format Version 3.0.0. 4 6. TEST RESULTS 6.1 ANTENNA GAIN The maximum Gain measured in Fully Anechoic Chamber are 2dBi or 1.58 (numeric) (for 2.4GHz antenna); 3dBi or 2.00(numeric) (for 5.0GHz). 6.2 OUTPUT POWER INTO ANTENNA & RF EXPOSURE VALUE AT DISTANCE 20cm: For 2.412 ~ 2.462GHz band: POWER OUTPUT (dBm) CHAIN 0 CHAIN 1 TOTAL POWER (mW) TOTAL POWER (dBm) POWER DENSITY (mW/ cm 2 ) LIMIT OF POWER DENSITY (mW/ cm 2 ) 23.4 23.1 422.9 26.3 0.133 1.000 For 5.180 ~ 5.240GHz band: POWER OUTPUT (dBm) CHAIN 0 CHAIN 1 TOTAL POWER (mW) TOTAL POWER (dBm) POWER DENSITY (mW/ cm 2 ) LIMIT OF POWER DENSITY (mW/ cm 2 ) 11.5 12.3 31.1 14.9 0.012 1.000 For 5.745 ~ 5.825GHz band: POWER OUTPUT (dBm) CHAIN 0 CHAIN 1 TOTAL POWER (mW) TOTAL POWER (dBm) POWER DENSITY (mW/cm 2 ) LIMIT OF POWER DENSITY (mW/ cm 2 ) 23.0 22.6 381.5 25.8 0.151 1.000 CONCULSION: Both of the WLAN 2.4G & 5.0G can transmit simultaneously, the formula of calculated the MPE is: CPD1 / LPD1 + CPD2 / LPD2 + ......etc. < 1 CPD = Calculation power density LPD = Limit of power density 1. WLAN 2.4G + WLAN 5.0G = 0.284 Therefore, the maximum calculation of this situation is 0.284, which is less than the “1” limit.
