Preface This document describes the requirements and operation of the Passive Entry System. However, this document is especially for the Entry system ECU (acronym for Electric Control Unit) and the FOB. Passsive Accsess Entry Functionality A proximity sensor located on, for example the door handles, mirrors and trunk lid will be used for proximity check if user is in neighborhood of the vehicle. The switch input will trigger for unlocking and open the doors and trunk. Figure 1 2.1.Door Unlocking β’ User pull / touch the door handle (sensing of door handle switch). β’ ECU sends LF-challenge via exterior antenna. β’ FOB sends RF-response to the ECU. β’ Door unlocking status is engaged. β’ Doors are opened. The file listed as internal photos cannot be read and is not recognized by the ATCB server. 3 On page 14 of the report, there appears to be 2 carriers separated by 90 kHz shown in the bandwidth plot. Please explain. 4 Please note that pulse width modulation duty cycle for devices whose transmission exceeds 0.1 sec is determined by the alternative method. βIn cases where the pulse train exceeds 0.1 seconds, the measured field strength shall be determined from the average absolute voltage during a 0.1 second interval during which the field strength is at its maximum value.β Please note that in your calculation you referenced 189us to 391us, not to the required 100ms. While the device may be a 50% duty cycle device, the references need to be in accordance with Part 15.
