REV 16 Dec 2010 Important Notice Because of the nature of wireless communication, transmission and reception of data can never be guaranteed. Data may be delayed, corrupted (i.e., have errors), or be totally lost. Significant delays or losses of data are rare when wireless devices such as the Integra-TR are used in a normal manner with a well-constructed network. Integra-TR should not be used in situations where failure to transmit or receive data could result in damage of any kind to the user or any other party, including but not limited to personal injury, death, or loss of property. CalAmp accepts no responsibility for damages of any kind resulting from delays or errors in data transmitted or received using Integra-TR, or for the failure of Integra-TR to transmit or receive such data. The offer of supply of these products and services does not include or infer any transfer of ownership. No part of the documentation or information supplied may be divulged to any third party without the express written consent of CalAmp. CalAmp reserves the right to update its products, software, or documentation without obligation to notify any individual or entity. Product updates may result in differences between the information provided in this manual and the product shipped. RF Exposure Compliance Requirements The Integra-TR radio is intended for use in the Industrial Monitoring and Control and SCADA markets. The Integra-TR unit must be professionally installed and must ensure a minimum separation distance listed in the table below between the radiating structure and any person. An antenna mounted on a pole or tower is the typical installation and in rare instances, a 1/2-wave whip antenna is used. Antenna Gain Min Safety Distance (cm @max power) 5 dBi 10 dBi 15 dBi VHF 79.3 cm 141.0 cm 250.8 cm UHF 68.2 cm 121.4 cm 215.8 cm 900 MHz 45.0 cm 80.1 cm 142.5 cm It is the responsibility of the user to guarantee compliance with the FCC MPE regulations when operating this device in a way other than described above. Integra-TR uses a low power radio frequency transmitter. The concentrated energy from an antenna may pose a health hazard. People should not be in front of the antenna when the transmitter is operating. The installer of this equipment must ensure the antenna is located or pointed such that it does not emit an RF field in excess of Health Canada limits for the general population. Recommended safety guidelines for the human exposure to radio frequency electromagnetic energy are contained in the Canadian Safety Code 6 (available from Health Canada) and the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Bulletin 65. Any changes or modifications not expressly approved by the party responsible for compliance (in the country where used) could void the user's authority to operate the equipment. 1 T AB LE OF C ON T EN T S 1.1 Figures ........................................................................................................................................................................ 6 1.2 Tables .......................................................................................................................................................................... 7 2 PRODUCT OVERVIEW .................................................................................................................................................... 8 2.1 Scope of Manual ......................................................................................................................................................... 8 2.2 General Description ................................................................................................................................................... 8 2.2.1 Characteristics ...................................................................................................................................................... 8 2.3 Part Number Breakdown .......................................................................................................................................... 9 2.3.1 Transceiver Identification .................................................................................................................................... 9 2.3.2…

Type of Confidentiality Requested Exhibit Short Term Permanent Block Diagrams Short Term External Photos Short Term Permanent* 3 Internal Photos Short Term Permanent Operation Description/Theory of Operation Short Term Permanent Parts List & Placement/BOM Short Term Permanent Tune-Up Procedure Short Term Permanent Schematics Short Term Test Setup Photos Short Term Permanent* User’s Manual *Note: ______(Insert Explanation as Necessary)______ CalAmp has spent substantial effort in developing this product and it is one of the first of its kind in industry. Having the subject information easily available to "competition" would negate the advantage they have achieved by developing this product. Not protecting the details of the design will result in financial hardship. Permanent Confidentiality: The applicant requests the exhibits listed above as permanently confidential be permanently withheld from public review due to materials that contain trade secrets and proprietary information not customarily released to the public. Short-Term Confidentiality: The applicant requests the exhibits selected above as short term confidential be withheld from public view for a period of ___(specify number of days not to exceed 180) 4 ___ days from the date of the Grant of Equipment Authorization and prior to marketing. This is to avoid premature release of sensitive information prior to marketing or release of the product to the public. Applicant is also aware that they are responsible to notify ACB in the event information regarding the product or the product is made available to the public. ACB will then release the documents listed above for public disclosure pursuant to FCC Public Notice DA 04-1705. NOTE for Industry Canada Applications: The applicant understands that until such time that IC distinguishes between Short Term and Permanent Confidentiality, either type of marked exhibit above will simply be marked Confidential when submitted to IC. Sincerely, By: ______Director of Engineering Chris Ludewig (Signature/Title 5 ) (Print name) 3 - The asterisked items (*) require further justification before permanent confidentiality will be allowed. These also currently require review by the FCC under their Permit-But-Ask policy before the grant is issued and can delay completion of an application. Further justification should be added to the note above. One such example for a potted device would be: “The EUT is FULLY potted using a non-removable epoxy based material. Removal of potting material causes irreparable damage to internal circuitry. See photographs exhibits that outline the device before and after potting.” 4 - Please refer to http://atcb.com/publicdocs/Memo-Short-Term-Vs-Standard-Confidentiality.pdf for complete details. 5 - Must be signed by applicant contact given for applicant on the FCC site, or by the authorized agent if an appropriate authorized agent letter has been provided. Letters should be placed on appropriate letterhead.

The transmitter carrier output frequency are 406.1, 439.8, 440.1, and 475.8. The reference oscillator frequency is 14.40 MHz. The power amplifier has voltage levels at 13.3 Volts for 5 watts. 2. The carrier reference was established on the spectrum analyzer with the filter by- pass in place. Then the spectrum was scanned from DC to 2 Fc. Finally, the high pass filter was inserted to null the carrier fundamental and extend the range of the spectrum analyzer for harmonic measurements above 2 Fc. 3. At each spurious frequency, generation substitution was used to establish the true spurious level. 4. The spectrum was scanned to the 10 th harmonic of the highest internally generated frequency.
