OPERATING MANUAL CAR PARKING SENSOR WITH WIRELESS DISPLAY UNIT MODEL : YPS-300M The Ultrasonic Car Parking Safety Device has been engineered with the highest technology and equipped with the most advanced wireless features. The system helps the driver to be in better control when reversing. When the car approaches too close to an object in the detection zone, an alarm sounds, increasing the intensity in proportional to distance from the object, simultaneously displaying the direction of right or left side and distance. This allows the driver to have better control when parking in tight spaces and greatly improving safety and judgments. β’ OPERATING METHODS When in reverse, the system sounds a beep and senses the first detection zone (within1.6m(5.0ft) distance), second zone at 1.0m(3.0ft) and the third zone at 0.6m(2.0ft) the alarm sounds progressively. From 0.4m(1.0ft) the alarm sounds continually indicating the driver to stop. For the driver with hearing problems the displays shows 0.0m(0.0ft) the actual distance is 0.1m(0.5ft). This system also indicates the closest side to an object left or right. β’ FEATURES β’ Compact and unique display unit β’ Built-in buzzers both display and main body β’ 4 stage audio and visual LCD display from 1.6 meters to 0.4meters β’ 2 ultrasonic sensors installed on or under the rear bumper β’ Display's distance, direction and sound. β’ Aids reversing in all weathers. β’ Easy Installation on any vehicle. β’ Especially design with wireless LCD display). β’ No scratches. β’ SPECIFICATIONS Detection : Ultrasonic sensor lnput power : 9VOLTS TO 16VOLTS DC Operating temperature : -20 Β° C ~ 60 Β° C Length of wiring :2 Meters(Sensor), 4 Meters( Main module& monitor power wire ) DETECTION RANGE DISPLAY : 0.4METERS TO 1.6 METERS Current consumption : 30mA( Main module ), 85mA( Monitor ) Dimension : 70(W) X 93(L) X 33(H) Main control module 66(w) X 62(L) X 40(H) Wireless monitor Weight (with blister packing) : 357g β¦ OPERATING DISTANCE DISPLAY STE P DISTANCE(CM ) BEEP SOUNDMONITOR DISPLAY REMARK( MODE ) 1OVER 200 CMN/A β β’ β’β’ β’ β FLASHING REVERSING MODE 2 160-200 CM N/Aβ 2.0 β β β 1.6βDISPLAY DETECTING THE OBJECT 3 100-160 CMSLOWLY BEEPING β 1.6 β β β 1.0 β DISPLAY 1 ST ALARM (1 st NOTICE MODE) 4 60-100 CMNORMALLY BEEPING β 0.6 β β β 1.0 β DISPLAY 2 ND ALARM (2 ND NOTICE MODE) 5 40 β 60 CMQUICKLY BEEPING β0.4 β β β 0.6 β DISPLAY 3 RD ALARM ( WARNING MODE) 6 WITHIN 40 CMCONTINUOUS BEEPING β 0.4 β & β 0 β DISPLAY SEQUENTLY STOPPING THE CAR DRIVING β¦ PROGRAMMING MODE A. Test Procedure 1.1 Preliminary Testing for Reference Preliminary testing was performed in a KTL absorber-lined room to determine the emission characteristics of the EUT. The EUT was placed on the wooden table which has dimensions of 0.8 meters in height, 1 meter in length and 1.5 meters in width. Receiving antenna (Biconical antenna : 30 to 300 MHz, Log-periodic antenna : 200 to 1000 MHz or Horn Antenna : 1 to 18 GHz) was placed at the distance of 1 meter from the EUT. In order to cohere the individual components of the characteristic broadband emission from the receiver(EUT), a RF generator(CW signal) and a log-periodic antenna were used. The frequency and output level of the generator were adjusted for highest observed coherent receiver emissions on the spectrum analyzer with RF amplifier. An attempt was made to maximize the emission level with the various configurations of the EUT. The effect of changing the position of the cable was observed to find the worst case configuration while rotating the table and varying antenna height and itβs polarization. Radiated and spurious emissions were checked from 30 MHz to 3000 MHz according to section 15.33. 1.2 Final Radiated Emission Test at an Absorber-Lined Room The final measurement of radiated field strength was carried out in a KTL Absorber-Lined Room that was listed up at FCC according to the "Radiated Emissions Testing" procedure specified by ANSI C63.4. Based on the test results in preliminary test, measurement was made in same test set up and configuration which produced maximum emission level. Receiving antenna was installed at 3-meter distance from the EUT, and was connected to an EMI receiver or spectrum analyzer(for above 1 GHz) with a RF amplifier. Turntable was rotated through 360 degrees and receiving antenna height was varied from 1 to 4 meters above the ground plane to read maximum emission level. The maximum emission level from the EUT occurred iβ¦

Sample Calculation The emission level measured in decibels above one microvolt (dB) was converted into microvolt per meter (/m) as shown in following sample calculation. For example : Measured Value at 315.9 MHz 17.7 dB + Antenna Factor 14.0 dB/m + Cable Loss 3.3 dB - Preamplifier 0.0 dB - Distance Correction Factor * 0.0 dB -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- = Radiated Emission 35.0 dB/m ( = 56.2 /m) * Extrapolated from the measured distance to the specified distance by an inverse linear distance extrapolation.
