OPERATING MANUAL CAR PARKING SENSOR WITH WIRELESS DISPLAY UNIT MODEL : YPS-300M The Ultrasonic Car Parking Safety Device has been engineered with the highest technology and equipped with the most advanced wireless features. The system helps the driver to be in better control when reversing. When the car approaches too close to an object in the detection zone, an alarm sounds, increasing the intensity in proportional to distance from the object, simultaneously displaying the direction of right or left side and distance. This allows the driver to have better control when parking in tight spaces and greatly improving safety and judgments. β€’ OPERATING METHODS When in reverse, the system sounds a beep and senses the first detection zone (within1.6m(5.0ft) distance), second zone at 1.0m(3.0ft) and the third zone at 0.6m(2.0ft) the alarm sounds progressively. From 0.4m(1.0ft) the alarm sounds continually indicating the driver to stop. For the driver with hearing problems the displays shows 0.0m(0.0ft) the actual distance is 0.1m(0.5ft). This system also indicates the closest side to an object left or right. β€’ FEATURES β€’ Compact and unique display unit β€’ Built-in buzzers both display and main body β€’ 4 stage audio and visual LCD display from 1.6 meters to 0.4meters β€’ 2 ultrasonic sensors installed on or under the rear bumper β€’ Display's distance, direction and sound. β€’ Aids reversing in all weathers. β€’ Easy Installation on any vehicle. β€’ Especially design with wireless LCD display). β€’ No scratches. β€’ SPECIFICATIONS Detection : Ultrasonic sensor lnput power : 9VOLTS TO 16VOLTS DC Operating temperature : -20 Β° C ~ 60 Β° C Length of wiring :2 Meters(Sensor), 4 Meters( Main module& monitor power wire ) DETECTION RANGE DISPLAY : 0.4METERS TO 1.6 METERS Current consumption : 30mA( Main module ), 85mA( Monitor ) Dimension : 70(W) X 93(L) X 33(H) Main control module 66(w) X 62(L) X 40(H) Wireless monitor Weight (with blister packing) : 357g ♦ OPERATING DISTANCE DISPLAY STE P DISTANCE(CM ) BEEP SOUNDMONITOR DISPLAY REMARK( MODE ) 1OVER 200 CMN/A β€œ β€’ β€’β€’ β€’ β€œ FLASHING REVERSING MODE 2 160-200 CM N/Aβ€œ 2.0 ” – β€œ 1.6”DISPLAY DETECTING THE OBJECT 3 100-160 CMSLOWLY BEEPING β€œ 1.6 β€œ – β€œ 1.0 β€œ DISPLAY 1 ST ALARM (1 st NOTICE MODE) 4 60-100 CMNORMALLY BEEPING β€œ 0.6 β€œ – β€œ 1.0 ” DISPLAY 2 ND ALARM (2 ND NOTICE MODE) 5 40 – 60 CMQUICKLY BEEPING β€œ0.4 β€œ – β€œ 0.6 β€œ DISPLAY 3 RD ALARM ( WARNING MODE) 6 WITHIN 40 CMCONTINUOUS BEEPING β€œ 0.4 β€œ & β€œ 0 β€œ DISPLAY SEQUENTLY STOPPING THE CAR DRIVING ♦ PROGRAMMING MODE A. B. REMOTE CODE PROGRAMMING IN THE MONITIOR Turn on the power( plug-in the connector) in the condition of pressing the switch in the monitor. You will hear one beep sounding in the monitor and then turn on the power( plug-in the connector) in the main control module. You will hear one beep sounding to confirm code programming. C. HOW TO SWITCH FROM METERS TO FEET Follow instructions in step one, depressing the switch for 6 seconds and the display will toggle between meters and feet display. NOTE 1. The YPS-300M is operated only when reversing the car. 2. Please keep cleaning the ultrasonic sensor for correct operation. 3. The system cannot be often operated in the small object such as wire, rope, sponge or textile etc. This device complies with part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the following two conditions: (1) This device may not cause harmful interference, and (2) this device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation. Caution : Any changes or modifications in construction of this device which are not expressly approved by the party responsible for compliance could void the user's authority to operate the equipment.

Operational Description

Description of Circuit Function FCC ID : PS-300T DATE : MAY31, 2001 MODEL : YPS-300M The ultrasonic signal(40KHZ) from U1 is output by sensor via CN1 and CN3 through T1 and T2 to transistor Q5 and Q6.The signal from the sensor is reflected and returned by the object will deliver to the transistor Q3 and Q4 THROUGH C16 and C17. The signal is deliver to the signal amplitude circuit in U3 by switching through the U2. The amplitude signal by U3 is delivered to the IC U1 by changing only signal through C8, D2A, D2B and C7. The signal to the U1 is composed the data according to the distance by calculating the time difference to the output signal. will be sounded through the beeper circuit composed by R1,Q1 and BZ1. Also, the signal is output the composed data through the composed circuit via the transistor Q2 by AM modulation. The DC 12V through the connector CN2 will normally be 5V by U4 through the circuit composed by L2 and L3.

RADIATED EMISSION MEASUREMENT (Section 15.231) 1. Test Procedure 1.1 Preliminary Testing for Reference Preliminary testing was performed in a KTL absorber-lined room to determine the emission characteristics of the EUT. The EUT was placed on the wooden table which has dimensions of 0.8 meters in height, 1 meter in length and 1.5 meters in width. Receiving antenna (Biconical antenna : 30 to 300 MHz, Log-periodic antenna : 200 to 1000 MHz or Horn Antenna : 1 to 18 GHz) was placed at the distance of 1 meter from the EUT. An a tte mpt was made to ma xi mize the e mission level with the various confi gurations o f the EUT. Emission levels from the EUT with various configurations were examined on a spectrum analyzer connected with a RF amplifier and graphed by a plotter. 1.2 Final Radiated Emission Test at an Absorber-Lined Room The final measurement of radiated field strength was carried out in a KTL absorber-lined Room that was listed up at FCC according to the "Radiated Emissions Testing" procedure specified by AN…

Ref. Report No. 01-341-030-01 Page 7 of 14 2. Photograph of the test configuration 3. Sample Calculation The measured field strength was determined by averaging over 0.1 seconds interval during which the field strength is at its maximum value because the pulse repetition time of the EUT exceeds 0.1 seconds (15.35(c)). See graphs of page 12 . With the resolution bandwidth set at 10 kHz, the EUT produces a pulse spectrum on the spectrum analyzer because the bandwidth of the analyzer is greater than or equal to the PRF (= 588 Hz). Therefore, as mentioned in HP Application Note 150-2 (page 11), the pulse desensitization( p ) equals zero and the display amplitude is essentially a peak level.
