QPSK QPSK Viaccess Viaccess V V - - 2500 2500 User User ’ ’ s manual s manual Important Safety Instructions Important Safety Instructions •Read Instructions-All the safety and operating instructions should be read beforethe product is operated. •Retain Instructions-The safety and operating instructions should be retained for future reference. •Heed Warnings-All warning on the product in the operating instructions shouldbe adhered to. •Follow Instructions-All operating and use instructions should be followed. •Cleaning-Unplug this product from the wall outlet before cleaning. Do not use liquid cleaners or aerosol cleaners. Use a damp cloth for cleaning. •Attachments-Do not use attachments not recommended by the product manufacturer as they may cause hazards. •Water and Moisture-Do not use this product near water –for example, near bath tub, wash bowl, kitchen sink, or laundry tub; in a wet basement; or near a swimming pool; and the like. •Accessories-Do not place this product on an unstable cart, stand, tripod, bracket, or table. The product may fall, causing serious injury to a child or adult, and serious damage to the product. Use only with a cart, stand, tripod, bracket, or table recommended by the manufacturer, or sold with the product. Any mounting of the product should follow the manufacturer’s instructions, and should use a mounting accessory recommended by the manufacturer. To prevent electric shock, match wide blade of plug to wide slot, fully insert. To prevent fire or electric shock, Do not expose this appliance to rain or moisture. Do not defeat the safety purpose of the grounding-type plug. •Power-Cord Protection-Power-supply cords should be routed so that they are not likely to be walked on or pinched by items placed upon or against them, paying particular attention to cords at plugs, convenience receptacles, and the point where they exit from the product. •Productive Attachment Plug-The product is equipped with an attachment plug having overloadprotection. This is a safety feature. See Instruction Manual for replacementor resetting of protective device. If replacement of the plug is required, be sure the service technician has useda replacement plug specified by the manufacturer that has the same overload protection as the original plug. •Outdoor Antenna Grounding-If an outside antenna or cable system is connected to the product, be sure the antenna or cable system is grounded so as to provide some protection against voltage surges and built-up static charges. Article 810 of the National Electrical Code, ANSI/NFPA 70, provides information with regard to proper grounding of the mast and supporting structure, groundingof the lead-in wire to an antenna discharge unit, size of grounding conductors, location of antenna-discharge unit, connection to grounding electrodes, and requirements for the gr…

Operational Description

Operational Description Functionality The NU2V-2500 is the box, which is placed between the satellite dish and the TV set or other electronic home equipment. It decodes the incoming signals, verifies the access rights and outputs clear picture, sound or other services in the appropriate format. Description The decoder is functionally organized as indicated in the following figure. NIM(Network Interface Module) NIM(BS0054) consists of TUNER and QPSK Demodulator. The signal received by Antenna and LNB will be transmitted to TUNER. TUNER is designed to select one transponder and convert to I & Q signal. The I & Q signal from TUNER will be transmitted to QPSK Demodulator which is designed to demodulation and FEC(Forward Error Correction) decording. The output of QPSK Demodulator is parallel format of TS (Transport Stream) signal. Integrated STB Controller Integrated STB Controller(U101) consists of Demultiplexer, MPEG Decoder, Video Encoder and Microprocessor. The TS signal from NIM will be transmitted to Demultiplexer. Demultiplexer is designed to select wanted Video PES (Packetized Elementtary Stream) and Audio PES. These signal will be transmitted MPEG Decoder to make decompressed digital Video and Audio signal. Digital Video signal will be transmitted Video Encoder to convert analog Video output. Digital Audio signal will be transmitted to external Digital-to-Analog converter. The Microprocessor is designed to control all other devices. Flash Memory Flash memory(U201) is used to store main software and default Satellite Information. Main software and Satellite Information can be up-dated by PC through serial communication. And also the Satellite Information can be up-dated by customer when he changes some data. SDRAM SDRAM(U202) is temporary memory, and it is used for main software, demultiplexing and MPEG decording. VCXO The VCXO(Y401) is designed to generate system clock signal. The system clock is used for demultiplexing, MPEG decording and to work of Microprocessor. It has DC voltage input port which is used to adjust output frequency.
