Operation is subject to the following two conditions: This device may not cause harmful interference. This device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation. 28 Misc. Settings IP-Sec Pass Through: This feature lets you use IP Security Pass Through. Usually it requires a 3 rd party client software (VPN) on the workstations to be able to use the function. Check the box and click “submit” if you want to enable the feature. PPTP Pass Through: Point to Point Tunneling Protocol is the method used to enable VPN (Virtual Private Networking) sessions. This encryption method is supported by all Microsoft Operating System on the market. To enable this feature, please check the box and click “submit”. 4-5 System tools Detects the status of the Wireless Access Point Gateway. Intruder Detection Log 29 The event messages show the possible hacker attacks that have occurred on your internet Gateway router. Up to 32 hacker attacks may be logged in this manner. Display Routing Table System diagnosis 30 System diagnosis shows your internet gateway’s information. It will perform a check-up on your internet gateway to make sure that everything is functioning properly. Load Default settings Load Default settings will lout the factory default settings for the device. Upgrade Firmware 31 The upgrade firmware option allows you to upgrade the newest firmware to your Wireless Access Point Gateway. Reset device Resetting the device will restart it. Click on the START button to restart. 32 Section 5 Configuring your Gateway Router with Telnet session You can start the telnet session by click “start” “run” and type in “telnet 192.168.1.1” Type in “admin” as your login name and hit “enter” for default password. 33 The main menu. You can press “Ctrl-Q” to bring up the help screen and learn all the command in telnet session. Press “Ctrl-C” to cancel the selection. 34 Setup Hit “Enter” on setup and it will take you to the following menu. In this menu, you may setup: System – Setup generic system configuration. Click Start button, select Settings, then Control Panel 2. Double-click the Network Icon 3. In the configuration windows, select the Internet Protocol that has been associated with your network card/adapter. If there is no TCP/IP line listed, you will need to install the TCP/IP now. 49 4. Click the Properties button, then choose the IP ADDRESS tab. Select Obtain an IP address automatically. 5. Then select DNS configuration tab to add DNS IP address. If you do not wish to add DNS you can disable DNS function. Press OK. You have completed the client settings. 6. After clicking OK, windows will ask you to restart the PC. Click Yes. Confirm Your PC’s IP Configuration There are two tools which are great for finding out a computer’s IP configuration: MAC address and default gateway. l WINIPCFG (for windows 95/98/ME) Inside the windows 95/98/ME Start button, select Run and type winipcfg. In the example below this computer has a IP address of 192.168.1.2 and the default 50 gateway is 192.168.1.1. The default gateway should be the network device IP address. FCC ID: O7J-GL2411RT-0B ADT No.910220R01 Operational Description The transmitter of the EUT (Wireless Router) is powered by power adapter. The antenna is Dipole antenna. The antenna connector is MCX connector. Under normal use condition, the user has to keep at least 20cm separation distance between radiator and the body of the user. The other instruction, please have a look at the users manual. DSSS Information This device is Direct Sequence Spread Spectrum, the data is mixed by pseudorandom code which is an orthogonal code. The mixed data is digital modulated by BPSK and QPSK technique depends on the data rates. The CCK coding is applied for increasing the data rate, and also the processing gain will be increased. The bit rates are 1,2,5.5,11Mbps, the symbol rates are 1,1,1.375,1.375Mbps, the chip rates are always 11Mbps. So, the Chip/symbol is 11,11,8 and 8 respectively. Although is higher bit rate, the processing gain is lower than 10, but the CCK coding used in higher bit rate will provide 2.2dB coding gain.

Introduction 2.4 GHz frequency band is regarded specially as a dangerous band for its heating harmfulness to the human body. That’s why microwave oven is operating in this frequency band. The manufacturer whose product is working in this frequency band is obligatory to prove the harmfulness of his product. In this document, we try to prove the safety of radiation harmfulness to the human body for our product. The limit for Maximum Permissible Exposure (MPE) specified in FCC 1.1310 is followed. The Gain of the antenna used in this product is measured in a Fully Anechoic Chamber (FAC) calibrated for antenna measurement in ADT, and also the maximum total power input to the antenna is measured. Through the Friis transmission formula and the maximum gain of the antenna, we can calculate the distance, away from the product, where the limit of MPE is reached. Although the Friis transmission formula is a far field assumption, the calculated result of that is an over-prediction for near field power density. We will take that as the worst case to specify the safety range. 2. Friis Formula Friis transmission formula : Pd = (Pout*G) / (4*pi*r 2 ) where Pd = power density in mW/cm 2 Pout = output power to antenna in mW G = gain of antenna in linear scale Pi = 3.1416 R = distance between observation point and center of the radiator in cm Pd is the limit of MPE, 1 mW/cm 2 . C and 55 % RH 6. Classification This device is not fixed inside the host equipment, it is connected with host through wire. So it is easy to be re-located in the place where at least 20 cm far away from the body of the user. Warning statement to the user for keeping at least 20cm or more separation distance with the antenna should be included in users manual. So, this device is classified as Mobile Device.
