American Telecommunications Certification Body Inc. 6731 Whittier Ave, McLean, VA 22101 September 16, 2004 RE: Global Sun Technology Inc. FCC ID: O7J-WLUD2454-13I I have a few comments on this Application. Depending on your responses, kindly understand there may be additional comments. 1.) The RF power output reported on Form 731 and in the Test Report for 802.11b is very good – too good. I simply do not believe it is possible to measure RF power exactly to 1/100 th of a decibel. I also do not believe it is possible to measure to exactly 1/100 th of a decibel the exact same power on low, mid and high channels. Kindly provide true measured RF power within the Test Report and SAR Report. In addition, please submit a revised Form 731 showing the highest true measured power for this device. 2.) Please indicate how country settings are defined. In other words, how are channel settings determined for Europe, Japan or United States? William H. Graff President and Director of Engineering mailto: [email protected] The items indicated above must be submitted before processing can continue on the above referenced application. Failure to provide the requested information may result in application termination. Correspondence should be considered part of the permanent submission and may be viewed from the Internet after a Grant of Equipment Authorization is issued. Please do not respond to this correspondence using the email reply button. In order for your response to be processed expeditiously, you must submit your documents through the AmericanTCB.com website. Also, please note that partial responses increase processing time and should not be submitted. Any questions about the content of this correspondence should be directed to the sender.

Please indicate how country settings are defined. In other words, how are channel settings determined for Europe, Japan or United States? The manual on page 12 appears to suggest that any individual can select their country of choice via user software. This is, very simply, not permitted under any conditions. Please refer to Rule 15.15(b): β€œAn intentional or unintentional radiator must be constructed such that the adjustments of any control that is readily accessible by or intended to be accessible to the user will not cause operation of the device in violation of the regulations.” William H.
