Product Description GL242201, the wireless Ethernet adapter for Card bus- compliant notebook PCs, is fully compatible with IEEE 802.11b standard and supporting higher data rate to 22Mbps. Using Direct Sequence spread spectrum technology for immunity from interference, it will automatically fallback to lower data rate in the environment of interference. 22Mbps data rate is designed by the Packet Binary Convolution Code (PBCC) modulation technique. The software supports Windows OS such as Win98, Win2000, WinME and WinXP. The PC card for your laptop is designed with an integrated diversity antenna which would increase the receiving and transmitting sensitivity. 1.2. Product Feature ● IEEE 802.11b Direct Sequence high rate compatible. ● Based on DSSS Technology and support the modulation of PBCC mode ● High-Speed wireless connection up to 22Mbps data rate, and supports 11/5.5/2/1 Mbps 802.11b standard ● Advanced Power Management supports power saving mode for battery device ● Auto fallback data rate in the environment of interference ● 64/128/256 Bits WEP Encryption function ● High through-put supports multi-media data bandwidth requirement ● Built-in PCB patch diversity antenna or external antenna support. ● Supports Card Bus interface 1.3. Operational Description

FCC ID: O7J-GL242201-MT ADT No.910924R01 Operational Description The transmitter of the EUT (Wireless 22Mbps PC Card) is powered by host equipment. The antenna is Printed antenna, and there is no antenna connector. Under normal use condition, the user has to keep at least 2.5cm separation distance between radiator and the body of the user. The other instruction, please have a look at the users manual. DSSS Information This device is Direct Sequence Spread Spectrum, the data is mixed by pseudorandom code which is an orthogonal code. The mixed data is digital modulated by BPSK and QPSK technique depends on the data rates. The CCK coding is applied for increasing the data rate. The bit rates are 1,2,5.5,11,22Mbps, the symbol rates are 1,1,1.375,1.375,1.375 Mbps, the chip rates are always 11Mbps. So, the Chip/symbol is 11,11,8,8,and16 respectively. Although is higher bit rate, the processing gain is lower than 10, but the CCK coding used in higher bit rate will provide 2.2dB coding gain.
