A consistent flicker indicates a strong signal Solid LED Flashing LED P2 LED Controller 2 has connectivity Controller 2 has no connectivity P1 LED Controller 1 has connectivity Controller 1has no connectivity P2 LED P1 LED Signal LED WaveStation Docking Unit Layout P1 / P2 LED have a simple function. They flash when there are no peripherals plugged in or when the peripheral in not recognized. They remain ON when a recognized peripheral is plugged into controller port 1 or 2. The Signal LED indicates valid received rumble data from the Game Console to the Docking Unit. A solid LED indicates valid rumble data received from the game console. If the LED flashes quickly, it indicates that rumble data did not make it to the controller. This is not serious as rumble data is updated many times per second. If the LED remains OFF for a long period of time then rumble update is being reduced. This could be due to range limitations or RF noise on the channel being used. NOTE: Leave these settings set to the factory settings unless you are experiencing signal interference. There is a channel selector on the bottom of the Receiving Unit and inside the battery compartment of the Docking Unit. If the channels are changed they must be the same on both units. DIP Switch Channel Settings Channel 1 – Only DIP switch 2 ON Channel 2 – Only DIP switch 3 ON Channel 3 – Only DIP switch 4 ON Channel 4 – Only DIP switch 1 ON Channel 5 – DIP switches 1 & 3 ON Channel 6 – DIP switches 1 & 4 ON (Note: Only 1 of the DIP switches 2,3,4 can ever be ON at any one time.) Troubleshooting If you are experiencing a weak signal first check your batteries, if it continues change the channel on both WaveStation units. If WaveStation is not functioning properly confirm the Receiver unit is plugged in and the controller(s) are properly connected to the Docking Unit. RE: Pelican Accessories FCC ID: O7X-WAVE1 Following is the response to your comments of June 26, 2002 for the above referenced application. 1.) A detailed Block Diagram conforming to the requirements of 2.1033(b)(5) is needed for this device. R. Block diagram has been uploaded. Please see exhibit “K9875FC-FCC Block Diagram- 12Jul.pdf”. 2.) The Test Report shows Occupied Bandwidth plots which extend above the Reference Level. This is a no-no for any spectrum analyzer as it has the potential to report incorrect readings. Please review and correct. R: New bandwidth plots have been placed in the revised test report. See exhibit “ELE7144X_0602 PL-621 new.pdf”. 3.) Band Edge plots are not shown. Compliance with the radiated provisions of 15.249(c) must be shown. R. Band edge plots have been placed in the revised test report. See exhibit “ELE7144X_0602 PL-621 new.pdf”. The selectable channels have been reduced from 8 to 6 for the device to comply with the band edge requirements. All documentation referring to the selectable channels has been revised and/or uploaded. These files are the revised Test Report, 731 Form (exhibit “ATCB Form 731 WLL new.pdf”), Operational Description and User’s Manual. 4.) Are emissions above 1GHz Peak or Average? R: Data tables in the test report list both Peak and Average emission measurements above 1GHz. 5.) No Manual is provided. R: User Manual has been uploaded. Please see exhibit “WaveStation Manual.pdf”. 6.) Device is larger than the palm of the hand. Therefore, it must carry a label which conforms to the requirements of 15.19(a)(3). R: The labeling requirements of 15.19(a)(3) have been added to the device. New artwork of the label and a photo of the label placement have been uploaded. Please see exhibit “New Label-Location.pdf”. 7.) Schematics and Parts List are marked Confidential, but no Confidentiality Request letter is uploaded. FYI: If Block Diagram is to be held Confidential, be sure to list this item. R: A Confidential Request letter has been uploaded. Please see exhibit “WAVE1 RFC Letter.pdf”. 8.) Existing Operational Description does not conform to the level of detail requirement to be held Confidential. Please review. R. The grantee has reviewed the Operation Description and feels that some of the information contained in the description is of significant proprietary value and should be withheld from public viewing. 9.)
