Product references Characteristics Communication: USB Cable output: USB 2.0 cable – Length 1.50 m / 4.9 ft – Connector type A : Direct Current Driver installation Communication Bidirectionnal: by default, the reader is delivered in bidirectional SSCP mode. More details about reader communication are available in the protocol specification: Spec_Protocole_SSCP_UHF_INDUS-Vx.x. Keyboard emulation: the reader can be used in keyboard emulation: wedge mode. See Configuring the reader in Wedge mode. Configuring the reader in Wedge mode The readers can be configured with STid -USB Wedge Configuration tool available on download link: https://stid.com/images/UWedgeConfv110_setup.zip In this mode the reader emulates a keyboard and displays in the active window the characters received from the serial link. The reader is delivered with the default parameters in bold in the table. 1- Set the options needed (if different than the defaults). 2- Send the ‘Keyboard emulation ON’ command. Command Description of the command Options Update Put the converter in update mode. The file firmware.bin is supplied by STid. Language (set) Changes the keyboard layout. - Français (AZERTY) - English (QWERTY) Type case (set) Chooses whether the alphabetical characters are displayed on the screen in uppercase or lowercase. - Uppercase - Lowercase Numlock (set) Chooses which numerical keys are used: those on the numerical keypad or those above the alphabetical keys. - On (use numeric pad) - Off (use keyboard nb) Info (get) Shows the current configuration (version, baud rate, etc.).
