American Telecommunications Certification Body Inc. 6731 Whittier Ave, McLean, VA 22101 April 3, 2001 RE: FCC ID: PIZMH9011 Dear Mr. Chen, I have the following comments on this application: 1.) The label does not contain the full FCC ID. It would be helpful to supply a line drawing of just the label with the complete FCC ID: as it will appear on the device. 2.) There is nothing in the reported measurements or test description to indicate radiated measurements were made through the required frequency range specified in 15.33(a). 3.) Please advise your client that a Part 68 application must be filed pursuant to 15.214(b). It would also be prudent to observe the other provisions of 15.214(c) and (d). In general, the label statement could easily appear in the manual, or as a supplement to the device when shipped, while the security provisions could be added as a separate document to the Operational Description Everything else looks in order. I await your response. William H. Graff Examining Engineer President and Director of Engineering mailto:[email protected] The items indicated above must be submitted before processing can continue on the above referenced application. Failure to provide the requested information may result in application termination. Correspondence should be considered part of the permanent submission and may be viewed from the Internet after a Grant of Equipment Authorization is issued. Please do not respond to this correspondence using the email reply button. In order for your response to be processed expeditiously, you must submit your documents through the AmericanTCB.com website. Also, please note that partial responses increase processing time and should not be submitted. Any questions about the content of this correspondence should be directed to the sender.

Dear Timothy, As per the requirement from FCC, please see the response below: 1. The frequency range for Base is 902.675 to 904.625MHz. for handset is 925.375 to 927.325. 2. Yes, the handset was tested in 3 orthogonal planes. And only worst case is presented at the report. (Also the photos shows the condition for worst case, too.) 3. After checking the test set-up photo, we did not see the condition you mentioned. Would you please check that for us again? Or we have to provide the photo to you again? 4. We also provide the RF board schematic at file attached for your reference. Please review it. Would these response be ok? If need more info, please let me know. Thank you. Dear Timothy, Sorry I missed that. I have checked the test data for this project, and found we did test both peak and average of radiated measurement data over 1000 MHz for the EUT. But I did not show the average test data on the report because we have so limited experience on such devices that we did not know both (peak and average) needs to be on the report. I have the test data added on the report and have it attached for your review. If you have question, please feel free to let me know. Thanks for all your kindly help.
