ALL KEY FOBS MUST BE PRESENT AND REPROGRAMMED WHEN PROGRAMMING NEW FOBS Programming Instructions: A new remote can be programmed to the vehicle when there is one existing remote already programmed. Have all new remote keys cut by a locksmith, hardware store or dealer before beginning programming. To program additional remotes, you should have all existing and new remotes present when programming. 1. With vehicle turned OFF, place all existing remotes in the cup holder. 2. Insert the mechanical key of the new remote into the driver’s door lock cylinder located on the outside of the driver door. (There could be a plastic cover over the lock. If so insert the mechanical key in the opening on the bottom of the cover and gently pry up removing cover from the lock cylinder). 3. Turn the key to the unlock position five times within ten seconds. The Driver Information Center (DIC) displays “Ready for Remote #2, 3, 4 or 5.” 4. Place the new remote into the remote learning pocket. (The remote learning pocket is located inside the center console storage area or under the cup holder. The cup holder will need to be pulled out to access the remote learning pocket). 5. Press the ignition start button. When the remote is learned, the DIC display will show that it is ready to program the next remote. 6. Remove the new remote from the remote learning pocket and press the unlock button. To program additional remotes, repeat Steps 4 through 6. When all additional remotes are programmed, press and hold the ignition start button for 30 seconds to exit the programming mode.
