Any and all acts carried out by Advanced Compliance Lab on our behalf shall have the same effect as acts of our own. We, the undersigned, hereby certify that we are not subject to a denial of federal benefits, that includes FCC benefits, pursuant to Section 5301 of the Anti-Drug Abuse Act of 1988, 21 U.S.C. 853(a). Dear Wei Li, You are listed as the Technical Contact for the above referenced TCB application. The following items need to be resolved before the review can be continued: 1. The Users Manual submitted does not contain any instructions in English (apparently page 9 of 10 was submitted). Please provide the English Language portion of the manual. A: Please see attached English Manual: 16chxmit.pdf 2. The Test Report page 4 states that the applicant is Somfy Systems, Inc., but the application is being submitted for SIMU U.S., Inc. Please confirm that this is correct. A: Please see attached revised report 3. This device is called a 16 channel transmitter, but there does not seem to be a description of how channels are changed and how they differ from each other (is it a change of frequency or modulation?). A: Please see file, 16chxmit Sec 3: Section 3 describes how to change the channels. Of course the different channels are not a change of the frequency but just a change of the logic signal coding. 4. Manually operated devices (button press) that operate in accordance with FCC 15.231(a) are required to cease transmission within 5 seconds of release of the button. The operational description describes the 136msec frame, but does not indicate compliance with the transmission cease time of 5 seconds. Please also confirm that this device only transmits upon pressing of a button (manual operation). Please confirm compliance with this timing requirement. A: The transmittion does stop when the button is released after the completion of the frame. This time is well under 1 second much less 5 seconds.
