Notification of Compliance Regulatory Compliance Information This document includes user requirements for operating NETGEAR products in accordance with national laws including usage of radio spectrum and operation of radio devices. Failure of the end-user to comply with the applicable requirements may result in unlawful operation and adverse action against the end-user by the applicable national regulatory authority. The NETGEAR product firmware limits operation to only the channels allowed in a particular region or country. Quick Start N900 WiFi Router Model WNDR4500v3 1. Prepare and connect your modem. Unplug your modem’s power. If your modem uses a battery backup, remove the battery. Plug in your modem. If your modem uses a battery backup, put the battery back in. Then cable the modem to the router’s yellow Internet port. Package Contents 2. Power on the router. Wait for the Power LED to light solid green. If the Power LED does not light, press the Power On/Off button. Wait for the 2.4 GHz LED to light solid green. 4. Log in to the router. Launch a web browser. NETGEAR genie displays. If you do not see genie, enter www.routerlogin.net in the address field of the web browser. When prompted, enter admin for the user name and password for the password. Follow the genie steps to connect to the Internet. 5. Get the genie app. Download the free genie app from www.NETGEAR.com/genie. Easily share media, files, and printers on the network from your smartphone, tablet, or laptop. 3. Connect a device. WiFi Network Name and Password The preset WiFi network name (SSID) and password (network key) are unique to your router, like a serial number. Because the router automatically uses WiFi security, you don’t need to set it up. The WiFi settings are on the white label on the router.
